This is a tool-assisted run by me. TAS stands for Tool Assisted-Speedrun. This is my second multi-task. And I tried making input-thing. Anyway, MMX is top left, MMX2 is top right and MMX3 is bottom right. Then bottom left is information. TOTAL stands for % which is an aggregate of MMX, MMX2 and MMX3. Advantage stands for how many frames(approximately) MMX1 or 2 is faster than MMX3.

It's the same input for the three games, it sounds impossible, but here it is. You can see in the bottom left screen the inputs and how the 3 games react to it, that's why sometimes one game's movement does not make sense, cause he is doing in another game something that requires more specific actions.

@DragonDrummer8 He is playing on three separate emulator using the same button input system for all three. If you noticed at the beginning you will see X and X2 jumping and shooting at the same time as each other. Of course, it's hard to notice afterward with only a few other times showing this off.

TAS- Tool Assisted speedrun. Basically any tool to help the speedrun. In this case, the obvious TAS is advantage cycling to delay X and X3 while keeping X2 at instant key register

@RapsyJigo A TAS (tool assisted speedrun) is made by using emulators, recording themselfs playing. Those recordings are not actually video recordings, but controller keypresses records, when you play this recording the emulator press the same controller key at the exact same time and order and so the game do the same thing. On this video the guy was able to create some recording that worked on megaman x, x2 and x3 and made the guy beat the game .

hope i could understand this for example when 2 of the 3 games are in a cut scene, that means you can do whatever you want with the other game. and if like the one megaman is climbing up a ladder you can dash with the other guys and still climb up the ladder

During the elevator ride in Boomer Kuwanger's stage at around 7:30 how does X avoid so much damage? He keeps dashing into the spiked walls and does the damage animation, without taking any, but he does take damage from the spiked platforms coming from above.

***** Well, Dark Souls base is a lot harder than any of the Megaman games, that's a start. Also, even after remapping the controls, the Dark Souls Guitar guy couldn't move his character to the left, move the camera to the right, or block heavy attacks. So in addition to beating a hard game while standing on his head, he also had one arm tied behind his back, metaphorically speaking. Or, you know, I can point out the guy who beat Mike Tyson's Punchout while blindfolded. Or the build guy who beat Ocarina of Time. Or the guy who beat Grandmaster Tetris (Two blocks per second, and during the credit sequence the blocks turn invisible, so you can only see them a split second before they drop in the preview screen).

He does it to use Tunnel Rhino's weapon in X3 to get to the heart tank in Blizzard Buffalo's stage. Since all the games use the exact same input, the weapon change by pressing L or R causes the weapon change in X3 as well as X2. It would have happened in X1 as well, but he didn't have any other weapons yet.

That's why he had to die 4 times in Chill Penguin's stage. The Hadouken-Capsule only comes up after having collected everything else and visiting that last spot in Chill Penguin's stage 5 times.

using 3 different emulators and a single controller mapped to all 3, they share the same inputs... however in order to effectively play all 3 at once, one has to learn all the small differences between them and take advantage of places where the character won't respond to your inputs on at least one of the games, or it'll cause them to perform actions that'll be harmless. constant save-state use and extensive knowledge of all the games is imperative. this is a hell of a feat.

Dark111000 Tool-assisted means the computer is controlling the input, not a human. Although he programmed when to jump, agwagaf is not pressing jump on a controller. Just FYI, that's TAS.

That's not TAS. That's played by a computer. TAS is where the runner is assisted by tools, like an emulator that lets you see where your character is with the Sonic Advance games, or frame advance.

Can you see the Assisted in TAS? The one that is getting assisted by the tools is the player, a human player. Do not mislead people if you do not know what are you talking about.

well... it's kind of obvious... 3 games controlled with one controller will only be TAS, you can't do it on a normal console obviously... that's doesn't mean the guy cheat or something else, juste that he use tools to get 3 games to work with one controller

Well, there's a difference between "programming inputs sequence into a program frame by frame for IT to play the games on its own" and simply have a program to "have the games read from the same controller inputs while someone is manually playing it on controller". TAS = Tool Assist Speedrun, usually implies the first one, as in programming inputs frame by frame to play a game to its at most perfection potential which are supposedly humanly impossible.
