Luiz Miguel is such a chill guy. Met him in person ages ago at the _"first kinda major but not really"_ speedrunning event in São Paulo. The guy never stops improving, he's truly an inspiration.

the part @ 20:00 where they're talking about "hit-lag" it's called hitstop in fighting games, where it is commonly used to make moves feel more impactful.

Don't know if you still need to hear this, but it's super simple. You just swap between attack and dash as fast as possible.

My fav MMX game, the up close and personal/power attacking method of Zero was always the draw for me. Nice run!

It's weird how I just barely sorta like all other Megaman games, but this one was absolutely my jam and the only one I did 100% on. Great to see it played so well in marathon!

To me, Playing Mega Man X games on a Nintendo console feels right, like tots natural but on another console it feels very alien and not right.

Oh, I remember this game. Played it only once at a friend's house, and played as Zero. I remember a friend being amazed I had actually beaten it, too. If I recall, isn't Zero's moves input basically like playing a Street Fighter game? I think that's what made him interesting to me, and since I was doing halfway decent with Street Fighter at the time it was a fairly natural transition.

It's interesting to me to hear that Zero is the harder character. I was always pretty bad at megaman games as a kid and playing Zero in this one was the first one that I beat. Still didn't beat it on megaman.
