Wow!! I am an L.A. musician, I know both Steve Lukather and Greg Phillinganes, and I stumbled upon this series. I too am a single parent and widower in many ways rebuilding my relationship with my daughter. I was estranged from her mom and seeking a divorce when she passed. There must be a divine reason I found this.

I really appreciate the honesty of the interview. It's so easy to look at Greg or Steve Lukather or any other giant musician and assume they are living the life, but yet they're going through pains and hurts just like the rest of us. Great job!!!

Truth be told !! I knew there was something about Greg that I liked outside of his musical skills. Great to hear this today.

Stumbled on this episode surfing Greg Phillinganes videos; Im not a parent, but am a child of a divorced parents so I can relate in some sense. Its nice to hear the regular folk-side of talented people you follow. Knowing your experience and the experience I've had growing-up. I'd much rather stay single. Of course, girlfriends are still welcome to me. Survive and stay alive. The lord loves you, and me too.

This is one of my childhood all time heroes. I still dream of having the opportunity of shaking hands to Greg and having a signed autograph in some (many) albums Greg worked on. The man doesn’t have any social media or whatsoever. If you’re reading this, thank you for the music Greg! You really look like a good and humble down to earth guy. Love from Portugal 🇵🇹

Peter, Greg's is the second interview of yours (besides Luke's) that I've seen and I really appreciate what you're doing. I've been through divorce twice, raised two daughters myself (from the first one) and it's a special kind of icky. No one else does what you're doing - focusing on this one aspect of life that so many of us share. I've met Luke, not Greg, but as a musician myself, I can appreciate that your show isn't just asking the same old questions about this record or that tour, but is an honest look (for ALL of us) at this challenging part of the Big Ride we call Life. I think you are helping people, thank you. More power to you, I hope to see more of your work. peace~out~L

Peter, thank you so much! I can't even put it into words succinct enough to fit into a comment. I'm a lifelong musician, parents divorced when I was 3, got back together and split for good when I was 5. It's a hard road. I appreciate you and I thank you for doing this. Thanks for having one of my heroes on the show. Greg Phillinganes, I love you man! God bless you. Thank you for sharing your story. I could relate to much of it in various ways. I appreciate you so much. Not just as a musician but as a human, which is what we are first and foremost! The music is secondary.

I would love to say thank you Peter for not letting this be a women bashing podcast. You and your guest keep it real. Some men and women who have been divorced sit back and bash on their exes. But you and your guest keep it real and don't play the blame game.

So please share the weekly segments in order to pass on the info💯...

Greetings from the Balkans. For what it's worth, both of you look much younger than you are! It's amazing how when you open up, you suddenly see how much people around you share the same experiences, even ones whom you put on pedestals and consider above human. I wish people could just remove children from the "fight equation". I don't wanna bash on women because men do this as well especially if they have the financial strength to get their ways. Denying a kid such an experience like going to the White House... I mean, it's not like she was being asked to act like everything is OK between them. Acting like everything is OK when it's not is also detrimental because kids see right through the farce... Also, where can I get me dat Weird Al shirt? I love it!

nihilusJ90 Thank you for your kind words. I hope you will share my show as it helps me to be able to do bigger and better shows in the future. As for the shirt, well believe it or not I've had that shirt for over 10 years and have never worn it. I recently found it and decided to wear it. I don't know where you'd find one like it. It was given to me from a tour friend at the time. If I see you, perhaps I'll give it to you 😋 I hope your subscribed and keep up with us on Facebook as well💯...

I am 90% certain that I subscribed to your channel, and at this point I'm 50% certain that KZfaq keeps unsubscribing me from some of the channels. Seemingly at random. I am also the only one who uses my PC, so there's no one else to point the finger at. Especially since KZfaq has been busy lately fashioning some weird user and content creator policies. Everyone I know is complaining about KZfaq. I don't have a Facebook account. As for the shirt offer, I'm half a globe away, LOL. But thanks anyway, it's the intent that matters. Appreciate it :)

Greg is a brilliant man, kind and talented, i do wish he'd leave out all that God nonsense, your breaks and dreams are made by you, not some invisible guy with a beard!! I do wish Greg would sue the Jacksons for his song writing input, and creating some of the best songs ever made! Quincy Jones mentioned that recently, "Greg wrote most of the Off the wall and Thriller stuff"...
@giwong5752
@giwong5752 4 жыл бұрын
Writing a song and arranging it is two different things. Do the research. Gmble and huff wrote it. But other's arrangemed it. There's no way he would have allowed people to steal all his stuff. Why constantly work with the Jackson's so many times, (the 30th anniversary being the last thing) if they steal from you. He had no shortage of work.

Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the ❤ love of Chris✝️? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Chris✝️ Jesus our Lord.❤
