I can remember long sleeved body suits with the snap in the crotch, early to mid 70’s. In fact had a few to wear with my hip hugger jeans, back in middle school ( 1972-74 ). I liked the style of the dresses and the jackets you picked out. I, too and a short person, and have to buy short sized pants and jeans, usually have to hem, the leg. Especially if they don’t have short length, and have to resort to regular length. Thoroughly enjoyed your vlog, brought back lovely memories when my daughter went to school when I lived in Maryland ( now live in England).

Oh those body suits were the bomb back in the late 60’s & 70’s too.

Omgeee, I tried on that same Old Navy green dress. I liked the color, the pattern, that it was lined, LOVED the pocket but... at 5'2" it was too long for me - more maxi than midi, and it was more than I could justify spending on something that didn't fit just right. Too bad, too, as I had styled it in my head with my brown boots. Ah well. Another time. Looks like a busy shopping day.

The yellow door sounds great to me. We painted our house a sage green and we have a purple door...we also planted all purple,pink,white an green flowers out front and we really like it. Some people come over for the first time and kinda blurt out " oh...your front door is purple". We say " it is". Lol

Starting in around middle school I would give my kids an amount of money and take the shopping for school clothes. They needed to have enough clothes to make it a week. It helped them with their math skill and learning how to budget. Since my motto has always been that you just need to pick your battles. I really bit my tongue when my daughters first day of school outfit one year was a black T-shirt with a green alien on the front that size fit her Dad and jeans that were so wide I wasn’t sure how she would be able to walk in them. Now she looks back and laughs but she was happy. Great choices for your grown up clothes too.

I love the khaki pants with the black jacket and it looked fabulous with that black top you had on. The outfit was very sophisticated. I don’t think you’d want a blousey, blouse with the jacket, it’s perfect with that black top.

I try to encourage my adult aged daughter to have stuff in her car for an emergency or whatever. But I’m also planning to pick up things to make her a “sick” box to keep at home. She was sick with a stomach bug last week and she had to DoorDash things she needed. While it’s a good last minute alternative, it’s quite expensive.

So much to say about you’d video. Firstly, so glad you’re back. I know you’ve been dealing with some hard stuff and I’ve been thinking about you and hoping that you’re taking time to heal both physically and mentally. I HATE the jeans with rips. They’re everywhere and it seems like there aren’t many options for non ripped jeans. I’m a teacher and although my work environment is semi-casual, I think those ripped jeans are just way too unprofessional. Finally, love that you look for inexpensive clothes for your kiddos. I buy most of my three year old niece’s clothes and I refuse to buy expensive stuff. The fanciest I get is target brand. 😂 she grows so quick and is rough on her clothes and I love finding cute stuff at yard sales or thrift stores and then I don’t feel bad when those clothes get worn out or trashed while she’s playing. PLUS when that stuff gets too grungy looking to take her into public in, we just turn what we can into PJ’s or lounging around the house outfits. When she’s older I’ll invest in more expensive clothing, but for now, I’m with you, the thrift store/ consignment shop/ yard sale clothes are the best and the $50 Minecraft sweaters can take a seat.

Something that I like to do with clothing is that example, if a shirt is $20 am I going to wear that shirt 20 times or not? If I don't see myself wearing it that many times then it goes back on the rack. With a few exceptions. I mean my wedding dress was $30 from Amazon. Lol

When my son was growing up I would often check out thrift stores. Sadly we didn't have many. As a high schooler savers was fantastic for many outfits. As I also would purchase from them. Now its harder as I need to try clothes on and now savers no longer has dressing rooms to try clothes on.

It was more difficult to find baby boys clothes but Carter’s Oshkosh had the cutest boys clothes I’ve ever found and they usually have a good sale!

Oh no! Those body suits, I remember spending 10\15 minutes in the loo trying to fasten is back up :))) For other 90's ladies do you remember the puff ball skirts and dresses? They didn't have an ordinary hem, it was like 2 layers of fabric that kind of did a puff ball effect.

You shop like my mom. I lost her 2 1/2 years ago. This is a blessing to me to watch. Thank you. My life has been broken with my mom gone. I feel for you. My heart and prayers are with you.

Tip for old navy: they will honor their online price and they always have sales online. So just make sure you have the app downloaded and enter in and add the exact item to your online cart with the coupon code and show them at the register and they will adjust the price to the online price
