Absolutely staggered this is possible on an 8-bit machine. Tremendous accomplishment. Looking forward to playing on a MEGA65 one day.

Graphics and sound are amazing, but for me it would be better to clone the near perfect gameplay of defender.

Unfortunately not, it's gonna be Mega65 only because all of the code is 100% 6502 (variant) assembler.
