Crossroads Church Cincinnati OH. "Pastors" Brian Time & "Female Pastor" Allie Patterson. This woman is in defiance to 1 Timothy 2:12 which says "women are not permitted to teach nor to have authority". This is in the context of a pastoral epistle, who is allowed to be a pastor and Paul goes on to root his argument in the created order not the culture, Adam was formed first, then Eve and the man was NOT deceived.

Crossroads church has come out and stated that it was only a Bible cover that was punted. However, this info from them is irrelevant. This gimick was designed to make it appear that a Bible was punted. This testifies to their irreverance and flippancy of sacred Scripture.

I'd like to see him do it with a quran next and see how long he lives afterwards! He's mocking God and thinks nothing will happen. Sooner or later he will have to answer for this. I highly doubt God will see it as just a bit of fun! Hopefully this is a wake up call for everyone in the church to find a new place of worship that respects God's word!

Whether their social media page is getting accolades or ratio'd is irrelevant. Their gimmick, while it was a Bible cover, remains as the appearence of what was construed as a Bible being punted down field and Crossroads are proud of this act. I would imagine they would never even make it appear like they would do this to one of their cherished items. But sacred Scripture, which people have died to distribute and smuggle it across the world, is treated so less.

I don't know if the fire is real or not but I think I heard of a vision of people in fire in Purgatory, a place where people possibly go if they are not ready for heaven.

As far as I've read, they didn't think much of the stunt and didn't explain it much at all. They said they were going for "fun" and "middle-school humor" and the do a church service in "a fresh new way." So on the surface it's just a stupid circus to keep the attention of megachurch attendees that want a circus performance rather than to properly worship God. Deep down, the symbolism of a female pastor literally punting the Bible off the stage may be rather telling and apt for this church...
