This is from lyrics genius on the song that you skipped "The second of four singles released from the smash hit Countdown to Extinction, “Foreclosure of a Dream” tackles themes of government waste, harsh economic realities and political lies. Lyrically, this song showcases Dave Mustaine’s ability to manipulate language like few others in rock. Filled with internal rhymes, purposeful repetitions, consonance, assonance, and intentional over- and under-pronunciation, the song could almost be a rap masterpiece if it wasn’t metal."

But Train of Consequences and Looking Down the Cross stick out to me the most.

ok here's my prediction, he's not gonna like very much Youthanasia (it's too dry), he might like some of CW (cause it's groovier), he's probably gonna enjoy Risk (very groovy too), he's not gonna like TWNAH (too dry as well)... he'll enjoy parts of System as well, UA however, not so much and going forward probably not that much either...
@kittykuchi78966 жыл бұрын
I disagree. He will like it but maybe not as much as Rust or Countdown. He likes goove and swag and Youthanasia has all that. Plus Youthanasia is pretty heavy too. He will like Reckoning Day and that will set him in the right mood for the rest of the album. After Youthanasia it's all gonna be downhill. Because he is right in the peak of Megadeth at the moment.
@jacowboy6 жыл бұрын
but it's got nothing to do with what you or I may consider "their peak". I mean, we'll see... but I even though I personally like Youthanasia, I can see how he'd find it dry and low energy, so I think he'll be bored with it... We'll know soon enough.

I'm calling it right now.. THIS is going to unseat Iron Maiden as your favorite metal band. Most people either love or hate Megadeth, and a lot of it has to do with Dave's voice. The composition of the music is just A+ all throughout the discography, so if you like his vocals then you will really enjoy this catalog. By the way sometimes his voice is a little hard to understand since it's very gritty, but if spotify has lyrics you can follow you can sing along(I have Amazon Prime music and some of the songs have lyrics that show up on the screen as the song is going). He "SPITS BARS" as you like to say, and really tackles some important political issues throughout the rest of the catalog! I know you want to listen to the music but pay attention to the lyrics!!
@kittykuchi78966 жыл бұрын
Nah I don't think so. Iron Maiden are a lot more consistent than Megadeth. He is currently in the peak of Megadeth with Rust, Countdown and Youth coming up next. It's all down hill after that.

It took me a long time to accept Dio, but Dehumanizer is amazing!
@uoabigaillevey6 жыл бұрын
Dio was my indoctrination into metal. Part of why I am a little picky in my vocal preferences.. started with the best and well.. to hell with the rest! (kiddin lol) Seriously tho.. Dio's vocal talent set a high bar for others for my perspective. Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, Rush, and Slayer easily held their own for me.. Anthrax almost made the grade too. King Diamond/Mercyful Fate held up their end when I finally discovered them as well. Those were my go-to's for music for like 15+ years before I discovered Devin Townsend and SYL which got me to listen to Meshuggah, Gojira, etc.
@Tompa89896 жыл бұрын
I can't understand how a person can think Dehumanizer is better than Heaven and Hell or Mob Rules.
@dimebag6676 жыл бұрын
I honestly haven't given them their fair shake, so maybe I would like them more. When I learned that Sabbath existed without Ozzy I just closed my ears. It took a long time, but I'm coming around :)
@uoabigaillevey6 жыл бұрын
If you are looking for 'faster and more energetic' then Dehumanizer is better. If you are looking for 'slower and doomier' then Heaven and Hell is the best.. followed by Mob Rules. I like all 3 and which one is 'the best' is really fluid and depends on what kinda music mood I am in at the time. There are times, even, when I am looking for something less vocally oriented and faster.. in which case I whip out some, Megadeth, Slayer, or on the extreme end some Meshuggah. So yeah.. Dehumanizr can be better.. but it's situatonal in all cases. Peace
