Have you tried playing while holding the sticks from the opposite ends? My 16 yr old daughter plays alot of Nick Menza stuff from the time when he was in Megadeth and whenever she plays those Megadeth songs, she holds the opposite ends of the sticks just like Nick Menza holds them. She says it allows her to sound more powerful, with deeper tones and the cymbals initially ring louder. She plays in a band with her two brothers. Each of her brothers have Crate half stacks and with both amps going she doesn't have to mic her drums (unless they are gigging outdoors). Awesome cover!!!

It always fascinates me how, when you hear a song, the drums can sound super complex, but when you watch it being played, it's not nearly as difficult as it sounds. Still, this song would definitely take practice to get it as tight as you're playing it here. Great stuff!

Nice work! Nick Menza and the boys would be proud.... I saw Megadeth at Irving Plaza in NYC about a month after September 11th. They still had streets blocked off while they were sorting through the wreckage at Ground Zero. I went there hoping I would get to hear them play at least 2 or 3 of my old favorites, and they played every single tune I was hoping for (Wake Up Dead, Peace Sells, In My Darkest Hour, Lucretia, etc). And this song. It resonated with the crowd even more than usual because of the heaviness of the mood in the city at the time. Anyhow; great job, and keep posting.
