Heroes of Might and Magic IV is a turn-based strategy game developed by Gus Smedstad through New World Computing and published by the 3DO Company for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers in 2002. A Macintosh port was subsequently developed by Contraband Entertainment and released by the 3DO Company. The fourth installment of the popular Heroes of Might and Magic franchise, it is the sequel to Heroes of Might and Magic III, and was the last to be developed by New World Computing.

Titan army would have faired worse if you stopped attacking the only creature with First strike ability, to be fair.

If both were played by a Player, Megadragon would lose all of them certainly.

Order was strong also because of good distance fighters, which lessened Megadragon‘s area attack

I'd be interested to see how Might fares against the MegaDragon if you include the Breeding Pen bonus.

All depends on luck if icedemon would freeze dragon necropolis would have also won. + Fact that player used megadragon was unfair as person on enemy side could use slow weaker units to cheese retaliation to avoid wide breath attack. Moreover smart player would use 6 water elementals instead 6 tigers to cast weakness, slow, quicksands and use icebolts. Or instead 7 elves using 6 fire elementals (would survive 1-3 attacks and are immune to wide breath attack instead dying at first and still deal higher dmg (7 elves deal max 18 dmg with 2 shots while elementals deal 24).

Order wins because titan has chaos ward. And dragon golem first strike. Also magi and genie attack negates mega dragon 50 defense stats since its magic damage

Im still sad this game never got the respect it deserved. Sure it was.. different from HoMM3. But Im convinced if this game had the random map generator added, and a loyal modding community like HoMM3 has, a lot of the issues with it would have been improved upon.

Loved this game. Before I stopped playing I had a chaos game with a party based on all heroes. After awhile nothing could stop me.

Very surprised Academy won twice :o. I would've guessed chaos would do the best. Might was pathetic lol. What good does the chaos ward do here though?

If the player is using the town creatures while AI used the megadragon, death already won by the moment venom spawn lands poison debuff while devils still alive. All you need to do is just spread out all the remaining units as fwr as possible, especially have the devils teleport to the farthest area where megadragon cannot reach many times until megadragon dies from poison
