I don’t know why but I get an old school feeling from this. Like this is a movie that actually has a target audience and doesn’t try to please everyone. Basically, it feels like art, not a corporate product.

Based on the teaser trailer the film is visually beautiful but that doesn't mean one thing or another about the actual story. But because movies have been poorly done for the most part in recent years and it is Coppola will give this a chance.

Word from those who have seen advance screenings (people in the business) is that it's a fascinating mess of a film. One of my all-time favorite messy films in "Southland Tales" (the Cannes Cut). It's a jumbled, confused movie with some truly cringy scenes, but there are so many wonderful ideas and moments that I love it despite its many problems. I suspect this movie will be a lot like that, only with better acting.

I’ve been waiting for this movie for so long, but it just looks bad. It looks almost like a B movie. And with a god-awfully bad cast. No one is going to see a movie because Adam Driver, Shia Lebeouf, Giancarlo Esposito or Dustin Hoffman star in it. Those are all either past their prime, Hoffman, or just bad actors like the rest. Truly a shame he chose these actors. The movie will definitely flop.

@@rupertsmith5815 Hoffman was good, but he’s been garbage lately. Esposito is literally the same character in every movie and series. He’s unable to act as anything else. And his acting can be described simply as being a teacher and explaining everything awkwardly. Adam Driver? Seriously? Everything he’s done has been meh at best. He was horribly miscast in Star Wars. And his other roles have been mediocre. And Coppola? Look at his “recent” works and you’ll see where he’s at. People need to be more selective in their entertainment choices. Wasting your money on something because of its “star power” is exactly what you shouldn’t be doing. Lately, the bigger the star, the worse the movie/show. It’s how they make up for bad scripts and stories. How many times will you be burned before you learn?
