@@Lanasano635 I mean in the games. He could have easily been a recurring character after that, showing up to give bad guys a sabering. Anything that ends with Zero dying is just bleh.

@@Elyseon Well, that does tend to happen to Zero regardless of the continuity. Aside from that, you're right about how Zero.EXE was underutilized in the Battle Network series. Hell, in the secret boss fight with Bass.EXE in Network Transmission, he mentions Zero by name, even seems surprised that he was defeated (How many times does freaking BASS show that kind of respect!?), and yet never mentioned him again in latter games. In fact, there's so much potential of him being a reoccurring character as you suggested that it nearly insane. A few examples would be him becoming a more prominent character in the latter half of the series *BN 4 5 and 6); in 4 Zero would've been captured and corrupted by the Darkchips courtesy of Nebula and at one point fights Megaman in a form not unlike Black Zero from the X series, and upon defeat, Zero utilizes the power of the Dark Chips against Nebula to Help Megaman defeat them and Duo. In Battle Network 5, as a sort of neutral option between the two versions, Lan would've been given Zero.EXE when Megaman was captured and during that time, develop a sort of rivalry with Protoman.EXE and especially Colonel.EXE given their original counterparts relationship (Also a minor one with Bass, but that'll depend). And in Battle Network 6, Zero would've been both used as a test subject for Copyroids, as well as investigate WWW, the Cybeasts and Baryls & Colonels betrayal and along the way meets with Iris.EXE who, along with Lan and Megaman, show her that not all humans or Navis are bloodthirsty, along with giving a relationship between the two a little more leeway as opposed to her crush with Lan... that and let's face it, what they had in the X series seemed a bit tacked on by comparison. Anyways, when the time came and Colonel comes around, he and Zero deal with one of the Cybeasts while Megaman deals with the other, and after the fight, when Colonel and Iris were going to sacrifice themselves to stop the Cybeasts, Zero steps in and destroys the remaining Cybeast himself. Unfortunately (And as for Zero rule), in a reverse scenario from X4 as well as a reference to his demise in X5, Zero takes mortal damage from the ensuing blast and was left dying in Iris' arms, with Megaman screaming his name in anguish and Colonel(having earned his respect) silently mourned Zero in his own way as he comforted his sister. Hell, in the BEAST+ anime, they could've easily had Iris make a return from Beyondard and had met Zero in place of Gutsman (seriously, what was with that?) Sorry, if I went on a tangent, but all that shows just how much wasted potential Zero.EXE had.

Nice depiction. Living, thinking, feeling, fighting yet a Virus that must be deleted for the sake of humans. He never asked to be this way, he had no choice in the matter, but in the end, he is offered a chance to live as a normal Navi, which is great.

​@@MrSasukeSusanoo ...I'm sorry what? Dr. Weil never showed up in the BN games, not even as a cameo, and certainly not as an alternate identity for Wily. If you're referring to the fan theory that Wily somehow lived long enough to become Weil in the Classic/X/Zero series, well A) that's just a fan theory, and B) it has no bearing on the alternate reality of the Battle Network/Star Force series. At any rate the point is moot because Capcom seems entirely disinterested in acknowledging any Megaman games outside the classic series. I just really, really wish Zero.EXE had turned up in more than one game. Maybe he has a chance to turn up in XDive though, considering Life Virus R.

@@KyuubiDragon4 I think it's very clear that Dr.Wily is intended to be Dr.Weil, X is Megaman.EXE, Zero is Zero.EXE, Dr.Light existed in BN timeline, and Dr.Wily as his rival just like in original megaman timeline. Also, I think I remember that it was STATED, in a game. Megaman Zero 3 or 4, one of those two, Dr.Weil confessed to be Dr.Wily in the past I think, I'm going to search for it because I don't remember it clearly but I think he did state that, it was a revelation from the character itself.

The closest the former ever got to declaring that was when he said he "brought out the true Zero" just before the final boss fight of Zero 3, in reference to Omega using Zero's original body. While that has provided fuel for the fan theory that Weil is Wily, it's hardly a confirmation. And again, IT DOESN'T MATTER, because we're talking about the Battle Network series here, which runs on a separate timeline (possibly a separate reality) from the Classic->Legends series. Judging from this quote here: "I think it's very clear that Dr.Wily is intended to be Dr.Weil, X is Megaman.EXE, Zero is Zero.EXE, Dr.Light existed in BN timeline, and Dr.Wily as his rival just like in original megaman timeline." You seem confused by that point, so I'll say it one more time as clearly as possible: Battle Network and Star Force do not share the same reality as Classic, X, Zero, and Legends. ...or... are you saying that Megaman.EXE is supposed to be the BN equivalent of X (and therefore Wily is the equivalent of Weil)? Because, no, Megaman.EXE is the BN equivalent of Classic Megaman. I really shouldn't have to elaborate further.
