Mega Man has the best representation in Smash out of all the 3rd party characters in the game. The dude has the best remixes, the one of the best stages, the best moves and custom moves, and finally the best Final Smash in the entire game. I appreciate the love and dedication Sakurai has put in for just one character alone. Imo, he deserves another rep for his series.

More reasons to add another mega man rep to the cast, would love to see other robot master abilities be used

You can catch the hyper bomb iirc, it works just like a regular item but it still does explode and come at a weird angle

If all characters had cool references for all their custom moves, then I think custom moves would have a very different reputation today.

In a game where the mechanic was criminally under-used (mostly consisting of extremely minor variations of existing moves), it was definitely great for them to make plenty of use of Mega Man's Special Weapons for his custom movesets! If I could add one more for each though, I'm probably thinking: *B: Knight Crusher* _(Mega Man 6)_ Knight Man's ball-and-chain weapon. A short-to-mid ranged but hard-hitting attack that can be swung up-close by tapping B, and also be charged up (with Mega Man swinging it round on his buster arm to protect behind him; he can also walk and jump while doing so) so it can be thrown further, and angled up or down at a 45-degree angle. Does lots of shield damage. *B: Thunder Claw* _(Mega Man 8)_ Clown Man's weapon. This fires a medium-ranged, claw-tipped beam of electric energy forward, which can either whip foes from a distance (sourspotted) or outright seize them for a command grab (sweetspotted). When grabbed, Mega Man can either tap B to deal damage by giving electric shocks to a captured enemy, or press up/down/left/right to swing and throw them in that direction. It can also be used to grapple ledges and walls to aid in recovery. *^B: Water Wave* _(Mega Man 5)_ Wave Man's weapon. On using it, Mega Man fires a high-pressure column of water at his feet to quickly boost himself into the air, ala the Rocket Nozzle from _Super Mario Sunshine._ It goes a good distance and can be angled left/right to surprise opponents and improve Mega Man's horizontal recovery. Does no damage and dissipates a short-to-medium distance in mid-air, but will spike/semi-spike opponents hit by the column of water in mid-air, and push them backwards to either side of Mega Man during a launch on the ground. *vB: Spread Drill* _(Mega Man & Bass)_ Ground Man's drill weapon. An attack that works a lot like Captain Falcon's Falcon Kick or Ganondorf's Wizard's Foot (or if you want to be technical, the Stone/Needle combination from _Kirby 64),_ Mega Man replaces his buster arm with a giant, powerful earth drill and charges forward some distance, delivering a big hit with great shield damage. When Mega Man boosts forward, he temporarily gains armour (can take damage, but not be flinched/launched) from the front. In mid-air, he charges downward at a 45-degree angle and churns up small boulders either side of him (much like Quint's Sakugarne from _Mega Man II_ on the Game Boy) for additional protection. By tapping B again before or during the charge, Mega Man will stop in place and launch the drill in the direction he is going, allowing for mind games.

i like the gameplay at the end it adds a way to show combo potential and is just cool to see gameplay from smash 4

Correction: You can actually catch Mega Man Bomb if you throw it upwards, the bomb doesn't have a timer and can be used as an Item

Skull Man shield actually looks sick to me. If you put it on in neutral or when you're high offstage, and now they are forced to not use projectiles. It's like a free Hero (SSBU) bounce. You can do it whenever you want and Leaf shield doesn't put in that much work tbh. And you still have Mega Man's kit. Loving the content btw.

Honestly kinda wish they gave him some moves from Mega Man 9, but then again, they'd probably be incredibly broken.

I honestly wish they had given Samus the same treatment as Mega Man for customs. Like imagine if she had the Spazer, Wave Beam, Ice Missiles and Shinespark as her customs!

If done correctly, the skull shield could block final smashes like Marth's. You'd have to time it right and throw it to block. It doesn't work on all final smashes.

I'm really sad that they got rid of custom moves, some of them were really gimmicky but some were really cool

I'm surprised they didn't make Proto Man a character with four of these. I'd have chosen Ice Slasher, Danger Wrap, Shadow Blade, and Tornado Hold (the three projectiles taking any non-recovery spot).
