Max Armor Abilities
Head: Damage Regen - Regen recent lost health(red bars)
Arms: Cross Buster - Combine 2 charge shots
Body: Hit Shield - Gain a shield when hit that last for 10 seconds. Damage taken while shield is active is reduced to 1.
Legs: V-Dash Extender - Increases the height of the vertical dash
Full Armor: Saber Charge - Gain a powerful saber wave
Giga: Hyper Mode - Activates Gold Armor enhancing all armor abilities.

The sound balancing is really good in this video -- I LOVE how all his attacks have a distinct tell, visually and audibly. The detachable star attack uses the Spin Wheel sound effect from MMX2, which is INGRAINED into my mind. So nostalgic, it brings me to attention instantly. I'm impressed by your game design skill.

I saw that detail with the charged shot, every time it increases a level there's a visual and audio cue, pretty clever way to aid the player without breaking concentration.

You know what I love about this fight? I love how Force Starfish doesn't have a desperation invincibility attack, and that his only real defense is just laying down more offense for you to contend with. The more skilled you are at the game, the better you are at the fight; no amount of pulling the controller out of your hands can change that.

He does have a desperation attack: It's him firing his 'Starfish' at you. If that thing catches you, it does a chunk of damage to you. Hence why you need to space yourself away from him. Starfish is one of those bosses that is hyper aggressive. The only way to beat him, is to be just as equally aggressive. If you're on the defense for too long, you'll get overwhelmed by debris and lack of spacing.

I mean, what more can you hope for from a boss fight? Also have to say, I always hated how MegaMan X games just abandoned all previous armors (with the exception of the Falcon/Ultimate armors I guess). I seriously love that this project has included some of the older armors.

At least the games had a reason to be doing that. X removed himself of all nonvital functions as to prevent the worst case scenario of him getting too strong and then going maverick, becoming too powerful for even Zero to stop. Alia decided to start saving armors because she wanted to make sure there was something to keep Sigma at bay, so she fixed the Fourth Armor as best she could as well as the Falcon Armor.

I remember the days when some of the biggest updates were the sound tracks. It was either 06 or 07 (might be wrong in the year) and id listen to the soundtrack on repeat. Thought it would be a few years before I played this game. Here I am in 2019 as a grown ass man... And I'm still patiently waiting. And will keep waiting until release date. Keep it up JKB!

As a longtime megaman fan, looking at the mechanics to this boss and seeing how fluent and smooth abilities are and how one transitions to the next so perfectly, I can honestly say I feel more love from this project from you than capcom has shown megaman in the last couple years. It's pretty bad when a fangame can give that feeling and a triple A company can't. Keep up the good work and keep doing us proud.

I love the detail you put into the game. For example the electrical effect on Force Starfish after he tries to ram you. Little details like that go along way to make a game that much cooler! Keep up the good work, can't wait to play this.

Once again, you delivered pure gold. I'm sure you know, but there are thousands of us supporting you. You've got a real gift. It was really cool to see the progression of this boss encounter through the past few demos. The octopus is a GREAT environmental change to the encounter which makes it feel so much more 3-dimensional than any of the actual games. Plus, you could always use the octopus later. Maybe a revisit to the boss room has the room flooded with the octopus in the room seeking revenge for his fallen comrade. There's a lot you could do with it. 100000/10 GREAT JOB!!

Omg whoa!!! Twice as fast and there's loads more going on in this video compared to the last update. Amazing! Furthermore, I really enjoyed the dialogue. I hated most of the boss-hero dialogue after X4, it felt contrived like a bad porno. So far your script is great. Not too long, isn't cheesy, gives just enough to hint at a bigger story or make you think. Splendid.

The development of this game is truly a marvel. I love everything about it. When I make my own MMX-like game I want to use yours as a reference material. Though I plan to do things differently, but your fan game has inspired a lot of interesting ideas I want to try my hands on. Also I cannot wait to play this game when it finally comes out. Now that's one hell of a fight! Love the fact you gave X Zero's Z-Saber from X3, complete with the Slicing aftereffect. Too bad it wasn't strong enough to take out Starfish's Star after the slicing effect.

Oh yeah! I always love seeing progess being made on this game. x'D (after watching) Wow that turned out to be one badass bossfight. Looking how the game is progressing this is definitely gonna be the best megaman game out there by the time it's finished. Capcom, take notes... and give this guy a job!

If this turns to be the greatest Megaman game ever made, Capcom either will be really pissed, or just accept that this franchise now belongs to the fans because Megaman is the less redituable of their brands. In the end it´s a company, not an NGO. Let´s be thankful there´s a Megaman 11, that shows they care and respect the fanbase. (Fuck konami)

As a long time X series fan, I can't help but continue to be utterly impressed by the level of sheer quality of every aspect of your unofficially game. Your commitment and gamedev skills are so commendable. I bow to you good sir! I hope that someday soon this will get to see a public release. I honestly can already see this being put up there with the AMR2 Metroid fan made game. Bravo, bravo.

He is missing half of his blue hp bar, as you lose health Zero and X display more “damage” cracks/chips/and will close a wounded eye in their dialogue boxes

@@PlayMOARZLEAGUE It is true that the "battle damage" mechanic does apply to the portraits of characters in the game, but that can not be the reason why X's helmet gem is cracked in this scenario. X is at maximum HP during the dialogue portion of this video, which means that there must be a different reason why X's helmet gem is cracked.
