Agreed. It's for that reason why I prefer the old X1 canon over the Maverick Hunter X version by a long shot. In the old one, it's hinted at X could possibly turn evil and become mankind's greatest threat if not tested enough before release. In the new version, they pretty much remove that and have it said he was always noble, which really ruins the intrigue and mystique of his character. I seriously don't get why they would remove that from his character because the idea of X just being some righteous robot hero that could never fall is really dull. The thought of X possibly turning Maverick and causing massive harm to the planet is such a fascinating concept to me because it shows as noble of a character he is, he still has great evil within him that he has to resist and stay the course for the sake of Dr. Light and the human race.

Which makes the original idea for megaman zero even more better than what we have. The reason for X's testing is because in terms of emotions he's far more human than robot and because of that like a human he could snap The original idea of megaman zero was instead of a copy X it was the original who's gone mad with all the constant fighting and zero's absence being his breaking point.

My God. This... is beautiful... Please do more of these! The animation makes me want a full remake of Mega Man X through the animated music video format of this one! This is just too good! Edit: I actually want to try making a Fan-Remake of Mega Man X based on the visuals used for this. While I doubt I'll actually release said remake when it's done for the sake of not risking getting copyright struck by Capcom, but if I ever finish it, I'll probably play it as a Kick-start for a new, rebranded channel.

This is so refreshing and indicative of care. However, the original intro, without the upbeat music, conveys a horrifying threat - that the variable X can mean anything, including X turning into a murderous maverick. The story didn't make good use of that - they gave that role to Zero.

Capcom you should be taking notes because this is the most badass remixed intro I've ever seen. Capcom could easily contacted this fan who made this intro pay them handsomely and put this in the options menu, so it would have been the original which they already have plus of this it would have been again I say the most badass remix of Mega Man x's intro.
