This song was my gateway to J-rock--and Japanese music in general. I don't regret a single thing.

I feel like the song more applies to the Mavericks of this game. For them, this is evolution, gaining their own independence, and not going with the status quo like the Maverick Hunters are. For Lumine in the others, it's about awakening the freedom they've always had inside them, which was restricted by certain rules, such as not being allowed to attack humans if they wanted to. And while I don't think X8 wanted you to sympathize with them, I think it at least wanted you to see their point. Rebellion, uprising, "Megaman X 8 : Paradise Lost" fits the game perfectly.

I have a theory this song is basically either sung from the point of view of Sigma (though probably not because he's dead for real by X8), the "will" of the maverick virus (where the lyrics are the thoughts the virus makes a reploid think), or Lumine, reflecting that the "New Generation" reploids can go maverick "at will"/without the virus, and this is him "convincing" other reploids to choose the maverick path.

Wow the lyrics to this song are amazing, it relates to the title and it makes sense when it comes to the x series

From the parts of the lyrics, they made me thought that it involves someone becoming a beast like a werewolf. Because it did said "fangs", "claws", and "attack humans". Maybe it's because every creature, including the robotic ones, can go berserk as if there is a monster in all of us. Even from the heart.

Something tells me this song is supposed to symbolize the voice of the Maverick Virus. I mean just listen to it! I can sense a hint of attempted reverse psychology in "You can't overcome this ordeal, you don't attack humans". It reminds me of Asimov's first law of robotics. In the new rendering I'm working on for this song, that line reads: (Either way you never will overcome this ordeal, You know, "You must never harm a human being!") This song is so awesome ^^

Definitely the best game in the X series. I haven't played X5, but as much as people say it's this and that, I don't see anything that special on it. X8 on the other hand had some badass rock tracks, Axl and his cocky personality plus awesome weaponry, armors for the entire trio, beautiful 2.5D graphics... I don't really care about whoever says X6 - 8 were the worst, X8 remains my favorite in that series. And this song is bloody amazing. And the lyrics were perfect for the Maverick Hunters.

I think its a metaphor, much like how the song says to let the blood flow and lose control (its self a metaphor for going maverick) Getting naked and liberating themselves could mean freeing themselves from humans and their ties to humanity

Yes there are those series but X7 and X8 were MADE around the time the Zero Series was made, hell there's like about 100 - 200 year gap that can be filled with not only X series games, but also other things like what happened during the elf wars and before that.

I love this game to death, and I love the x series, but I hate the way it ended. I hate that X just died off and the future became mega man zero, and I don’t have a problem with Zero or those games, I just solely believe there was more to X’s story to tell before it went in the direction it did and we could’ve seen more, but I digress.

This is great. Though there is one problem “You don’t attack humans”? Where the hell did you get that from? It doesn’t match any other translation I’ve seen and it sorta ruins the rest of the translation.
