Welcome to Track Guides, a video series where I'll be covering every track in CTR:NF, talking about little tips and tricks to help clear N. Tropy, Oxide, and Velo Time Trial Ghosts, general areas to help shave off time, and my overall thoughts on the tracks and how they play in other modes, such as online matchmaking. In this episode, we cover the new track from the Rustlands Grand Prix, Megamix Mania. The run at 10:52 is only about half a second off of Acceleration World Record.

iTheDashy isn't so great? Are you kidding me? When was the last time you saw a player with such an ability and movement with acceleration? Dashy puts the game on another level, and we will be blessed if we ever see a player with his skill and passion for the game again. Javich. breaks records. MrGaming3590 breaks records. iTheDashy breaks the rules. You can keep your statistics. I prefer the magic exclusive to the unreformed, unchained, uncancellable, unchallengeable, unstoppable, undisputed number 1 acceleration class e-girl streamer, iTheHonkHonk. The year is 2050, CTR:NF is played by less than 100 people. Dashy has finally reached rank one, "Chat I did it!" he yells excitedly. The sound echoes through the empty house. Chat left long ago... Anyways, I dig the video. Really helpful for those who are new to the track as it just dropped and are unsure of the optimal route. As a fellow member of the esteemed clan known as SIX, with their undefeated status, I must say that this is a great video :)

Ring Rally is kinda neat, but it makes sense not doing it as it is more or less all the same concept, and it is a little self explanatory too. Good work with the vids, keep it up!

yeah, some are fun to go over, not gonna lie. like sewer speedway, and even this one to an extent, are different enough that they're kinda interesting, but its just extra effort that i can't be motivated to do lol

Surprised to see you do Megamix before the rest of the tracks, but makes sense since its a recent addition. Here's my analysis of the currently released DLC tracks and how they typically play out: Twilight Tour has 2 USF pads. The pads aren't too close to each other and one of them even gives you Super Blue Fire, the fastest speed in the game. Unfortunately, that pad can only be accessed by a ramp that can easily be item sniped by whoever's in the lead. As with pretty much any USF course, 1st can pretty much run away if they're good enough. 50% Skill / 50% Luck Prehistoric Playground suffers from the item box problem you mentioned in the video and despite having 2 USF pads, the pads are located near to the front and behind the starting line, making catch up practically impossible if 2nd place gets item spammed and 1st runs away. (Hyper Spaceway suffers this problem as well) Fortunately, if you get hit trying to take the first pad, you can still turn around and get it back again. Luck prevails here. Nina's Nightmare has 1 USF pad placed before the item boxes. However, the mansion has sharp turns and requires u-turning or decent handling lines to maintain fire and the twisty roads inside can make drift angles awkward. Skill definitely prevails here. Koala Carnival is just a glorified circle with 1 USF pad but is placed sort of decently away. Most people target the boost pads before this one. 50/50 Gingerbread Joyride puts the item box close to the starting line but a decent distance away from the USF pad so people can't just kill your fire immediately. Like NN, a bit of skill is involved weaving through the first narrow shortcut. At least the 2nd shortcut is SF accessible (though very hard with handling). 50/50 And now Rustland... Unlike Prehistoric Playground where you can at least turn around back to get USF again, the Megamix pad is on a one-way incline that can't be returned to easily without going around a lap. You can runaway if you don't get item spammed at the pad and there's a shortcut that can only be taken with USF making it even harder to catch up. Luck prevails here. Fuck Spyro Circuit, it's just portal sniping.

Every time I read "USF" instead of Blue Fire when talking about NF i get a little pang in the back of my brain That being said, all of those are pretty spot on. on this track you *can* actually go back for the blue fire pad but it requires jumping at a very specific spot of the little ramp the pad is on, and you'll end up bonking pretty much no matter what, but sometimes you'll end up getting bumped up and over it. its not super worth though imo. also the 2 blue fire speeds thing is a half-truth. technically blue fire is a gradient of speed. standalone, i believe every track has a maximum of 2 blue fire speeds, so its a common misconception that there's only 2 speeds (DSD might have 3 but its basically impossible to test), but if you use the super turbo pads cheat (which uses the speed of the Twilight Tour faster blue pad) most tracks will have 3 instead. This speed is still slightly slower than Tiny Temple and DSD's fastest fire, but is faster than most other tracks in the game. Prehistoric is the easiest example to see for this, as we know the first pad is the faster of the 2 normally, but as soon as you hit the first standard boost pad with STP on, you're gonna leave your ghost in the dust.

iTheDashy I keep forgetting about the STP codes. As a seasoned player myself, I’m humbled by all the new info you bring to the table. Hell I didn’t even know about the different levels of Sacred until your earlier track guides. I guess I also forgot about the weird collision mechanic that sometimes allows you to climb walls. Be that as it may, I too agree that it’s too impractical to try online to retrieve your lost fire. I await for your future guide videos.

Thanks for the video I couldn't get the 2nd sc consistent and didnt know what way was fastest after the big drop, this video helped. Also I've heard that balanced got a buff, it probably still is not good, but I haven't noticed much of a difference

Be as far to the left of the boost pad as you dare and you can even make it with ordinary fire

ah, i should've probably been more clear about that SC in the video, but yeah, trajectory is pretty important here. If you jump from the center or further right, chances are you won't make it even with blue fire. If you jump from the left corner, you can just barely make it even with SF (accel, at least. not sure about slower classes)
