@@ajp9009 I guess the point I was trying to make is the press only shows her when covering any event...granted, she often says provocative things, but it would be nice for a change just to hear from others, and not just Alex as well. It just seems the rest of the team has been told to not voice any opinion but those that coincide with Megan, we'll see how they feel once they are able to speak freely and candidly.

I find it sad that many people think she’s arrogant. If this was a man making this kind of speech then I doubt that accusation would be made. According to many people women have to be submissive, quiet and not be opinionated. Even if Rapinoe IS arrogant it’s because it’s the only way she can get her voice heard. It’s well known that well behaved women don’t make history, they have to force the issue. I don’t agree with everything she says, but I do agree with her social and political stance.

I do find it unfair that women get paid so little compared to men but if you actually do the math women technically make more money then men. Last year the men’s World Cup made about 6 billion dollars and the women’s only made 131 million. The men only ended up giving away about 7% to the players while the women’s gave away almost 20% of their total earnings. It may seem unfair looking at the American teams situations but to other countries women’s soccer isn’t nearly as big because their teams don’t win as often or compete at such a High level

@@sknyjohn This is the equivalent of minor league baseball teams crying for equal pay because they win more games than the more talented big league players. Equal pay for equal ability. Also, even Rapinoe admits that women's soccer sells far fewer tickets at lower prices, sells far less merchandise, have FAR fewer TV viewers than the men, etc....this sounds like child support/alimony demands, ala WNBA style fuzzy math.

Get ready for this but when every team that is made of men the caption doesn't go " we have white guys and black guys" it's soccer make you speech about soccer not race and sexuality... But because it's a women's team they have to push there agenda in America's face... Celebrate... Have a good time... And get back to work... There is nothing political as the gay female with purple hair gives a speech about what they want people to know

@@otamaanna4729 Yes you are right again i meant it more in a general sense. Everything that is publicly discussed is political. Everything has the potential to be politicized and be publicly discussed. Ford or Toyota? Apple or Oranges? Water or Pepsi? Everything can be discussed politically. But not everything that is political is also a question of Life or Dead. The Emotions and division in todays Politics in the US is a reason to worry. I see the basis for the division in the two party system.
