Agree completely! That’s what gets me about this song is the vulnerability. The only other main stream artist to talk about real life stuff that i know of is Demi Lovato. They put it all out there just as much as Megan. Especially after their OD comeback

Loved your reaction! She took us all on that emotional roller coaster ride - so we feel you. 😊 The 4 eggs represent 4 acts… 4 eggs = 4 songs on the way. The cracked egg was the 1st. As you’ve already mentioned, since snakes shed their skin, this can be taken as a symbol of rebirth or regeneration. Typically, the color green symbolizes life, renewal, and resurrection. Green is the mixture of yellow: which symbolizes glory & energy, while blue relates to God & the heavens. The spiral near the end where she’s dancing is an anime associated with Naruto.

I love this comment & ill give a little more insight on the Narturo homage . Meg is a weeb (slang for obsessed with Japanese culture particularly anime).. So l'll speak to that : her coming from the snake is a Naruto reference the character Orochimaru (former ninja from the village of Konohagakure who is known for his strength in wars). Also the symbol at the dance break was a Naruto symbol Which is an association to the Uzumaki clan (one of the very strongest clan to exist in the world of Naruto.. So l'd say the dance break over the symbol was symbolic of her strength. Ok snakes / serpents in feminism represents transformation, rebirth/regeneration and healing!!! Now when I think snake egg I think of the Orphic egg which represents soul of the philosopher but with a serpent as and addition as we saw in the end it symbolizes the mysteries. Which basically is her saying stay tuned in ah👅

When she comes out the snake it’s a homage to a Naruto (anime) character Orochimaru. When he was born again (has many personas and transformations) he would come out of a snakes mouth. The ending ties back to the eggs (his many personas) and the one that hatched will be the new and next Megan one. She said this is just act 1 of a bigger project or era.

In addition to small animals (lizards, squirrels, etc.), cobras also eat eggs.
