All I found on Wikipedia is (I'm not an American, not a British, or an Englishman at all): "Ninox is a genus of true owls, including about 30 species found in Asia and Australasia. Many species are known as hawk owls or hawk owls. but the northern hawk owl Surnia ulula is not a member of this genus Molecular analysis shows that this genus is an early offshoot from the ancestors of other true owls and is perhaps best classified in the subfamily Ninoxinae with the genera Sceloglaux and Uroglaux [1]. by the English naturalist Brian Houghton Hodgson in 1837 [2]. "

People say this album doesn't have much of that classic meganeko vibe, but i have to disagree. This in particular feels like an upgrade from the technokinesis/nascens vibes, with more instrumentation and progression but still keeping the meganeko glitch hop vibe the whole way through. great stuff!

song review (pasted from my rateyourmusic review of the full album since i think the the non-nerds also would like reading) this song. it stays with the "original" meganeko formula (stuff like robot language and boy irl girl url), yet manages to still fill in the feeling of space exploration. the sparkly chords at around 2:44, even if they are basic/simple to create or generate, are super pleasing to the ear. the melody is admittedly rather repetitive, but the repetition goes under the radar with how many switchups go on in the background.
