I agree 100%. As an early childhood educator for 29 years and a mother of 2 twenty somethings I applaud you! Keep your children away from screens as long as you can. I am enjoying getting to know you. I am a “neighbor” from York County. Thank you for sharing your Mennonite life with us.

I agree. When I was 2, I would be sitting in my highchair eating lunch and watching the cat claw his way up the screen door. That was my only "screen" time. lol.

Lynette Yoder I agree!! my bf bought a boat 3 years ago, it still hasn’t seen the water. we’re from WNY (buffalo suburb) so our summer time is short to begin with. it was a project boat but he’s sunk (ha! pun intended) a lot of $$ into it already, $3-4 thousand. 14 foot 35 plus year old boat. already told him i won’t be going in it, don’t care that it has a corvette motor in it.

And don't slow down talking, it's just fine as it is ... if someone like me (English is my 2nd language) can understand all you say ... yeah, just fine and keep going. Megan you are doing great!! Limit or no screen time!! I have 4 and it’s hard but not impossible!! The are more aware they are of their surroundings and creative, the more compassionate they are.

I love your fast taking! I’m a fast talker too. I’m also a university teacher and my students told me they speed up my videos. I have no idea how they understand me at more than normal speed because I talk so fast already. I love you energy. Don’t slow down! You do you!

Wow 4,000 sq ft is huge! We just moved from 1400 to 2900 (not including a big garage and a lot of attic space) and are loving it! I’m sure you will too! Can’t wait to see it

I love this video. I also love that you speak quickly!! If you miss something you can go back and when i listen to someone speaking too slowly it frustrates me and i lose interest. It is so nice that Josh is so proud of you!

Your Q & A was so interesting thanks for sharing from this Q & A it sounds like our husbands would get along. My husband works in construction and his speciality is roofing. However, his preferred work is remodels. Looking forward to more videos and updates on the move. We live near Dayton, Virginia and my husband grew up conservative Mennonite and I was once conservative Mennonite and we are so blessed to have a lot of family close by his parents are 15 minutes from us and my family is 25 minutes away and it's such a blessing.

Loved this video!! Thanks for sharing! I totally agree on the screen time my oldest I don’t think had screen time till he was 2 or 3 but then the younger ones got more screen time just because of the older one. It is nice to have them close together but it’s also very challenging when their is 5 under 4 but the older they get the more I’m glad they were so close together and now that their is a big gap between the 4 and the Lord only knows when the 5th one will happen! You’s do very well with regular date night.

Love your channel & how you live. I live on the west side of PA in Clarion County. We are seeing more & more Amish & Mennonites coming into this area. We are friends with a young Amish guy, around 30, & he's going to get married next month. It's fun to talk with him & learn of his ways. Good luck with your hunt for your dream home & your lives. Would like very much to attend a Mennonite church's service too. I'm a Born Again Evangelical Christian n I love Jesus much. That's why I love Lancaster PA. I've gone there with our church group to visit several times n I so much love the atmosphere. You can feel the Lord's presence when you're there with fellow believers. This was such a fun discussion! I can't believe this, but you and your husband are exactly the opposite of us on the boat issue. I said we didn't need one, didn't have a good place to park it, etc...but finally relented. Soon it was time for a bigger one, and now it's an ongoing question of even bigger. Agreeing on priorities can be rather tricky but it can and does work if each one is willing to bend and work through it together.

I really appreciate where you stand on screen time with your kiddos! Keep that up mamma! Over winter zahra was allowed some screen time, and I couldn’t believe how much of attitude we dealt with! It’s amazing how you can tell which kids have screen time n which don’t!

I totally agree, I hate commercials! We didn't have a TV until our youngest was 2 years old (and we limited screen time as well). You are correct, having a young child watching too much TV affects their development... so keep on limiting her screen time!
