Dr. VANOS is needed and some Lucas oil. The engine will run nice and quiet after that.

Yeah but this is a BMW X5 with a 4.4i in it so a V8 and a V8 is always louder then a 6 inline

@@zzzz_zhtrub It's not a diesel. It's the 4.4 liter M62B44 engine which is petrol. What you hear is failed timing chain guides, the timing chain is slapping around making this sound. Very common problem on these engines

typically shitty BMW quality, this car looks worn and fucked, half the pixels are gone on the dash and I bet most of the electrics are broken too!
