Poor Paddy. Thought the story was really well done and not overacted because when you get to that point you think nobody will miss you. They all managed without him for the few weeks he was gone so it reinforced the idea in his mind that it was time to go. It's never one thing. He had what looked liked the perfect life with Chas and Eve especially after all they went though with Grace but maybe Chas cheating on him was just another in a line of he's not worthy of someone's love so what's the point. One ridiculous point in all of it, when they are saying that they've looked everywhere. They do get that they live in a village surrounded by lots of fields. How about just searching the fields for him?
