Why do Celebrities like Meghan and others think that their words empower women. As a woman their stories don't empower me, thats just their stories. Now my grandmother and my mother their stories of life told with truth and love of their struggles hardships of 1st world war, 2nd world war yet with the laughter of even in those times they found laughter family togetherness, caring, sharing, with very little. Now women like this and their view of life gave me the power to go through my struggles and realise you can get through hard times, especially when you think their is no way out. I know there are women who haven't had their mothers or family in their lives, for thoes women I hope they made good friends in life. I cannot see why these celebrities because that what Meghan is a Celebrity,( I don't class her as Royal, no pedigree) she just has a name tag, who's own life she's lied about, who's been sent to private schools, who has somewhat managed to ' use ' for a better word men to advance her career. Has really anything I would like to hear. She certainly has nothing she could teach a working woman with children, or none working woman with children. Listening to her podcast expecting female empowerment would be like going to the hairdresser with bad hair expecting a good hair cut. Just from an unfortunate female of her generation who worked my way through college, then fought sexism as I worked my way through medical school and onto residency where I gave birth twice and married 23 years to my husband who I met in medical school, not a former game show girl and cable actress who serially married until “royal”. I am sorry what is it again she is going to educate me about? I need to make sure to record time and date so I can be certain my 16 year old daughter will NOT be listening.

If empowering women means either putting others down to make yourself look good or using the work of other women and not crediting them, I think I shall give this a miss.
