I also agree there has been a spike in young children having a hard time learning to speak my daughter is 2 and is mostly non verbal so is her cousin of the same age and their slightly older cousin just turned 4 is just now catching up on speech development also the fact that in my area my daughter is on a wait list to get in to see a speech therapist and that wait list is currently a year long I'd say there are a number of children also struggling I've been staying home with her and trying to do what I can to help her

Kindergarten teacher last year had 8 out of 19 students with moderate to severe speech and language needs. Norm has been 1, maybe 2. Speech teacher would come during her breaks to just visit and spend extra time in the classroom because the need was so great. AND she was the extra speech teacher hired especially for Kindergarten through 2nd.

There was so much gaslighting when there were people screaming “trust the experts” when plenty of other experts in fields like yours, all the way to economists, counselors, and other doctors said that masking and shutdowns were harmful.

Absolutely agree my grandson has a problem with speech he’s 3 and has been in daycare throughout this whole thing, since they can’t see through the mask how your lips and tongue form the sounds but what does the CDC do redefines how many words a child should know by the time they are 3 and how they should speak by the time they’re 3 ,so he’s totally up to date absolute BS and sheer hypocrisy

I used to have that problem and still am tempted. I find it helpful to set aside a certain amount for one time gifts. Never loan money to people, always give. If you can’t give, you can’t help. And don’t give to someone who asks twice in a short time. This person probably needs money management help, which you might also be able to give or find someone who can.

I’m sorry for your struggles. I hope that you find support you need to help raise your two kids with values. Try your local church. They often help with childcare and sometimes additional resources, but definitely helping to instill values and morals.

I needed to read this tonight. Thank you. I’m 29 and the pressure to settle is unreal. I feel like my friends and family think I’m crazy/religious nutcase when I tell them I’m waiting for a Christian. They think it’s okay to date non-Christian’s if I can help lead them to the Lord. Dating non Christian’s has always lead to me backsliding. I get eye rolls when I tell certain people that I want to use this single season to strengthen myself as a Christian so that I can become the wife I’m meant to be. My family thinks I need to put myself out there more and that I’m wasting my time while all the good guys are getting snatched up. They basically always tell me that the dating pool becomes more limited the longer I wait so I should try to make something happen soon. Thank you for reminding me that GOD is in control and it will all happen in HIS timing. It’s so refreshing to be reminded that God will allow the right person to enter my life according to his plan and that I don’t need to go and looking for him or try to force something. My husband and I have told each other multiple times over the years that we are SO glad we are both believers. When you’re a Christian it influences everything about your life: how you spend your time, how you deal with stressful situations, how you spend your money, how you raise your kids, what you prioritize, who you spend your time with, etc. Therefore, marrying someone who doesn’t share those values is a recipe for frustration, disappointment, and heartbreak. In my opinion, a Christian marrying a non-Christian is foolish and short-sighted. I can’t imagine being married to someone who isn’t committed to Christ. We just have to put in the work to follow it from the get go. Sadly I wasn't raised in knowledge of the Lord.. I found it through trial and tribulation all on my own. My family still lives devoted to money vs being devoted to God tho they have been baptised in the Lord. Their merely fooled by the lies of this world and following idols and don't even see it. I think we need to be careful assuming one sex is particularly godless. While many men who grew up in the church are ensnared in sexual sin, many similar women have also made compromises similarly, rejected decent men who weren't classically "attractive," have been waiting for the type of relationship they find in a novel, or have embodied feminism without realize it. I am reminded of a relative who said the same thing then went on to date godless men, compromised values, and wondered why good men were hard to find. Women are dating the jerks and compromising for them then expect a godly man to swoop in. I would suggest spending quite a bit of time in church, Christian service, and other places where Christian men might be found. I know someone who was set up by an elderly woman in her church. They have now been married many years. In the mean time, work on what will make you an attractive partner for a godly man.

@@eurekahope5310 Our daughter is much more beautiful than her mom so she had a boyfriend when she was fifteen but they sat on two sofas facing each other in the living room while I pretended to grade papers in the dining room. I could see them when I went or pretended to go to the bathroom or to the patio. It worked for all but one boyfriend, the one she met at church. He took her to the patio where there was only one sofa. Of course we should marry men who share our values but don’t think your daughter is going to be loved like Christ loved the Church just because she dates a boy who goes to church. I sincerely believe what I did was worth the effort and, though I have never asked, I suspect our daughter’s husband was the first with whom she shared herself completely.
