She co wrote the book as a silent partner , her language and expressions are everywhere, the things which a man wouldn't notice, like lip gloss reactions, the florid language and descriptions , baby brain reference and I'm convinced she and the ghost writer and the publisher encouraged him to spill all about todgers , Taliban kill and other highly dangerous and incriminating personal information for the sake of book sales, Harry had no idea how foolish it would be to his reputation and physical safety, the others certainly knew full well how damaging if would be to Harry , but lucrative to themselves .

I read that the ghost writer fell out with them because she wouldn’t stop interfering with the writing of the book. She kept telling him what to write. She used the book to get what she wanted known and to bring Harry down! She is a vile person - both are totally unlikable!

Most likely the unforced errors and easily proven falsehoods that many have pointed out and helped cause the ridicule Harry received for it. It will be interesting to see when they do the next run in paperback how many of the errors and falsehoods will be corrected as they are all about the truth after all.

I was never interested in them, but when I saw the train wreck of lies, and how they started hatred, divide and attracted basically the worst haters to their bandwagon, I decided to take sides and campaing in my circle. The more I dive in, the more disgusted I am. It's startling how powerful and far a liar can get nowadays. And family trashing is a Big NO.

Like when it was her ( cough cough ) 40th. Birthday, and Mielissa McCarthy took the P…. Out of the Queen.very poor taste. By the way, I am not convinced she is only 43. More like 46/48. On the upward slope to old age. For all we know she could already be a nana. Once again thank and all the people who are seeing the true colours.x

I think that if M wants to redeem herself and gain back some respect, she would first need to reconcile with her father and siblings. It would be a long, hard road, and she would need to show some sincere remorse and humility and respect for them.

I don’t believe that Harry ever spoke or wrote a word without his wife’s permission and I also don’t believe that she isn’t the one that wanted most of the worst put in the book about the Royal family. Her jealousy of Catherine is what fuels her hatred towards all of them.

Failure, success and making choices - so well addressed. Years ago, as I was struggling to deal with surviving a violent attack in my Jo’burg home, someone said to me that you can’t always choose what happens to you in your life, but you can choose how you deal with it. Not sure that H and M understand the idea that choices you make, and are responsible for, have positive or negative consequences.

Yes. If I had to pinpoint the one thing (among so many) that has really created their downfall, it would be the mocking curtsey scene in their f*uckUmentary. It is the thing which is commented on more than anything else in all the YT channels, and seems to have united people all over the world in outrage, even non-royalists, because of its sheer spiteful, vindictive rudeness, which was fully intended to be seen by a bereaved and dying old lady (who thankfully was spared from it by her death). It just went too far. That was her doing, and hers alone.

The only problem I have with Harry is:- when left to do a short speech, he is a disaster unless it's written for him and he didn't achieve at one of the most prestigious schools in the UK, she wrote this book IMHO. I hope they can make something of their lives for their children’s sake. The first step is to be accountable. Saying that they are unlucky due to the Queens death, Prince Phillips illness, Covid, etc is not being accountable. They need to own their mistakes not blame others. If they stuck their hand up and admitted they got it wrong. But it’s a little too late now it’s become a trust factor.

I read that she allegedly wrote most of his book herself. And No, I don't think they can claw back anything. They've revealed too much of their characters to be able to 'rebrand' (awful phrase) and tell us that 'they know they've gone too far'. Too darn late, the damage has been done, to us the British people and their own families and especially the Queen and Prince Philip in their last days. Unforgiveable. And they're now in the invidious position of trying to backtrack. Tough.

It's not failure as in "they started a business or career and it failed", but as in "they put themselves on display showing themselves for exactly what they are and most people don't like them." They can only come back from that by changing themselves - not something they're likely to do. It's not impossible, but it starts with admitting their own faults and apologising to those they've hurt. How likely is that?

All of us have flaws, faults and good in us and born with our characters etc that we can't change, It's just a case of working on what is good in you and controlling the negative aspects of our natures. Some people can bring out the best in a person whilst another can bring out the worse. The once fun loving young kind popular Prince H was years ago was still showing his real self, just the better side of his nature. H needs to work on things that bring out his better nature and learn not to be easily influenced to act in ways that can be very detrimental to others and himself. I believe we have a higher self and a lower egotistical self. But I agree with you over all that H can turn things around by working on using what's best inside his nature than negative more.

The way he demonises reporters who truthfully reported on his behaviour with no acknowledgment that they were right, the way he threw himself into the sponging and wannabe billionaire lifestyle instead of creating a good life for himself and his family with the enormous fortune he inherited, accepting an award for fighting racism and then going "she never said that". "Easily led" is an excuse for a schoolboy, not a middle-aged man.

I don't believe that Meghan was not involved with providing input, in if not writing some parts of the book. Meghan is the mastermind of many projects, such a control freak that there is no way she was not involved and had a heavy hand in inclusion of the damaging stories. The lip gloss incident is not something that a man cares to note in a book. But it was significant for Meghan to paint the picture of Duchess Katherine as being stand offish and cold. It's her best opportunity to hit the Royal family hard out of vengeance through her husband so that she can come across as clean. That is her MO to let other people do her dirty work. Meghan knows she messed up big time and continuing to back track - more lies. Lying seems to be her way of self preservation. But she doesn't believe the thinking public can see through her lies.

I find that article hilarious considering she wrote a good portion of the contents of Spare. A good example was the description of the incident between Catherine and Meghan during the wedding. If history has taught us anything about Meghan, she would have to review, edit, and approve any materials posted, printed, and vocalize.

They both are seen as liars, traitors and narcissists. The fact they have taken down both of their families in this process is what have turned people against them most of all. You cannot claim to be a humanitarian and do the most damage to those closest to you. They have definitely burned their bridges.

What can be done to "reclaim" popularity? Before looking at that they need to look at the current situation and take an accurate view, which seems unlikely because both are, to a greater or lesser extent, delusional. They both have an entirely unrealistic idea of what talents, or lack of talent, they have to exploit or bring to bear in their cause. The second issue is that they both seem addicted to drama, hence the charade in New York. And both, or at least Meghan, are obsessed with getting publicity at any price, hence the staged "pap" shots, which fool nobody. A separate issue is the contempt in which they hold anyone who doesn't swallow hook, line and sinker "their truth" and the (frankly) stupidity displayed in thinking that no one will check their statements for untruths or for evidence of claimed actions. A classic example is Meghan claiming to be a great humanitarian, when the evidence is almost entirely lacking. The Canadian charity that flew her to Rwanda is an obvious starting point: there is zero evidence that she has ever shown the remotest interest in following up on that particular project, or on any of that charity's other work. Then Harry has always claimed to be interested in the welfare of wounded UK veterans, in fact he's on record (watch the video) as saying he would "dedicate the rest of my life to you guys" when he did part of an Arctic walk with them in 2015. However, there is no evidence of any follow-up, not before Meghan came into his life and certainly not after. Granted he's now based in the USA but what about emails, a shout-out on his podcasts, ANYTHING? Again, nothing. In summary, there is very little genuine popularity to be regained, while they have now spent three-and-a-half years showing the world an unfocused, vapid lifestyle, supposedly dedicated to their children, and her obsession with expensive clothing, unable to grasp how inappropriate it is to attend each and every event wearing more jewellerd decoration than a Christmas tree, and pushing her own book at obviously bored children. The self-absorption is frightening and, untimately, repellent.

She isn’t capable of regrets imho. She is distancing herself from the FACT that she WAS COMPLETELY hands on with this book. She believes we will believe more of her lies. Someone from Canada who understands the differences between how Americans speak versus how a British person speaks says she saw too many American wordings in the book. To me this is proof she helped if not completely wrote that book and he, being completely brainwashed and manipulated by her followed along like a puppy trying to please. It’s beyond too late , they are over, in more ways than one.

What about regrets about the Oprah interview, the Cut interview, the Netflix docudrama? Specifically The Cut interview where she issued a threatening message to the Royal family? I don't think, by the steps she is taking, the distancing, that she will know how to change. To start over you have to admit your own mistakes, but she is deflecting. It was predictable coming from two people that make blaming others and playing the victim their full time job.

I know that a lot of Brits think they were once generally popular here in America. They weren't. They were popular with the woke crowd mainly in California and perhaps New York. When they first arrived, fewer people were against them, most people didn't care. There was, indeed, a lot of interest in them because they were doing something so risky, but INTEREST is not the same as SUPPORT.

Based on the article, she (through a "spokesperson") seems to think everything before the book wasn't an issue. The Oprah interview, their returns to the UK for the jubilee & funerals, her podcast, the Netflix "mock"umentary, all had negative impacts- in which she was completely involved. When Harry wanted to hurry up and get the book ready , the publisher said that he needed to fix some things before it could publish it, and because Harry does not know much about writing and he is not the brightest Crayon in the box, Meghan mark le helped him, that's what I read in a book I got from a friend that sent me a book Tom Bower wrote!
