NXT Tech Wax was designed for the tuner car culture because it was perfect for show cars. The Kaolin clay gently cleans the paint, and the fillers hides swirls pretty good making it look flawless before judging.

Water beading isn’t a direct indicator of paint protection... this statement has been confirmed many times. The amount of water beading is just a reflection of the surface tension the wax gives. Just because the surface tension is lower after a month or so, doesn’t mean paint is not protected.

Hi mate, take a look at this video from Waxmode, he carried out a head to head which includes the top coat you mention, he wasn't impressed either.

So since you've used NXT in the past, what's the usual lifespan for you? I don't think I've ever gotten 2 months out of a Meg's product. . . Or most Mothers' products in the past. I've become a MAJOR Collinite fan; just slapped on a coat of 476 for winter; will do more if weather holds out - maybe 915. ONE product I found to protect REALLY well from birds is Mother's Pure Brazilian Carnauba. "Stuff" just blows off like a wet leaf off pavement, with just a couple of sprays from a water bottle. Since you have a DA, I'd say try the PASTE one; I wouldn't recommend it by hand - was brutal on and off for me... I can't speak to longevity; when I have time, I like to throw another coat on...

Did you use Dawn to help strip any left over wax before you applied the new wax? About to do mine so wanted to know.
