Ouff! I miss this time when people looked real. No flatironed hair, no filters, no fillers, no duck-lips and nobody dressed like they´re on a wedding. People´s real complexion and all face lines are visible. Nobody looks non-human. Most of all, there´s no gimmickry either, with elaborate background sob stories about the contestants to get views. Just talent, respectful competition and truly qualified judges.

Mehdi Hassan sahab was a teacher (ustad) to many including Jagjit Singh who became a star of Ghazal singing in his own right. Rafi sahab was ustad to many including Mahendra Kapoor, who became a singer even Rafi sahab enjoyed, and passed many songs onto that became super hits. This era was one where people got the balance right between money, fame, and goodness.

Great vdo!! I am fortunate to see such great judges together on a single platform, coordinated by a great singer like Sonujee. Champion is very rightly chosen. I wish India, Pakistan, Bangladesh come together forgetting all misunderstandings and work together to lift this great subcontinent to the world's best position. We have all the talents, yet narrow mentalities among the politicians and the fundamentalists have kept us distant. Salutes to all three respectable judges.
