Why Do We Apply Henna On Hands & Feet?
Besides being used for the intricate designs on hands and feet, especially on festive occasions, mehendi is a very potent medicinal herb. One of its main properties is that of a cooling agent, which is why it is applied on burns and cuts. It is often used to treat exhaustion resulting from heat, and also to bring down fever.

Mehendi, or henna, is also an antiviral and antifungal agent, which is why it is used to treat a variety of rashes including athletes foot and ring worm.
