@@NotFitforPrintBeauty it was so necessary! We’ve had so many launches sometimes I have to ask is it actually good, or a brand being reactionary to buzz words? Like sometimes I try a product I like and I think wait do I like this? Or do I just like it more than some of the other stuff that comes out? I think in reality there’s so much stuff, I’m not sure about the quality or even the need for it. (I’m also very attached to my old holy grails haha some of which have sadly been discontinued!) I think we see that trend more in apparel where quality has gone down and it’s like oh I like this… but I kinda just like it more than some of the other stuff that’s out there. Whereas before, some launches? Clothing or makeup? They were freakin ART! An amazing product in my opinion should be a combination of quality and the need for it. lol i.e. no one needs a stark white eye liner.

I like the Lisa Eldridge skin tint and her kitten lash mascara. The mascara lasts and is pretty. It’s not dramatic but I’m happy with pretty. I love your honesty as we certainly can’t like everything we try. I’d like this as a series.

I do agree that there’s nothing wrong with a pretty, subtle mascara. That is definitely true. I just don’t know why the skin tint refuses to work for me. Definitely a series. But the first addition was almost a year ago so I need to do the third edition a little sooner than a year Thank you for laughing along with me

Get well soon! And nothing better to feel less worse is a good rant to get off some steam. On mascara I don't totally agree, sometimes I do like it as I'm so pale and my lashes are so light that I little bit of brown or Charlotte's Pillowtalk shade is really a fresh up with no effort as I do a no makeup makeup day.

👏🏻👏🏻💖 I’ve been feeling MEHHH all day … and this video this evening was just what I needed to make me smile 🥰🥰 absolutely love this Rebecca!! It should appear more often 😄😄😄🙏🏻🙏🏻😍 on a more serious note I am glad I had a sample of the LE skin tint as it does nothing for me either, and as for coloured mascara… they indeed come around every few years and have done so since I was a teenager (I’m 48 now ) , I’ve bought an inexpensive one from a nice “low cost “ but fairly good Italian brand called Kiko and it was just a gimmick! Hope you feel better real soon xx

I don’t have any of these products but I love your video! 🤣🤣🤣 Judging after the number of comments it seems like I am not the only one. 😁 People are tired to see influencers praising every new makeup release and this video is like a fresh air. We all know that not all makeup is “wow”, “so good”, “out of this world” etc. and also not everything is for everybody. I have enough makeup and I have to be extremely impressed to buy a new eyeshadow palette, blush or lip balm. I already found my HG mascara, eyebrow pencil, powder, bronzer, foundation and concealer. When they are finished I just need to replace them. I am hunting for the best eyeliners and I am waiting for Hermes because I know from my SA that later this year Hermes will release their new eyeliners. Also I am done with makeup brushes. I spent a fortune on fude brushes and luxury vegan brushes (Chantecaille and a lot of Rae Morris brushes) and definitely I don’t need more. I would like to see more often videos like this. Thanks for sharing and I hope you will be better soon.🙂

Even though you tell it like it is, you are still very kind in how you do it and also some of these products are awful, so yes, calling them meh is being extremely generous! Colored mascara, liked cobalt when I was 15… by 17, if not earlier, I was embarrassed i had ever used it! Linen graphic liner? Who is doing this?? Well aside from who, please tell me who looks good in white or linen graphic liner??!! Lip oil that is expensive and gathers?? Forget it!! They are robbing people!

Welcome Back!! I am glad you’re feeling well enough to make videos! Continue to take care of yourself!!!! Although it is a result of being under the weather, I LOVE the raspy voice!!!! What a great return video, Mehkup!!!! I love that you didn’t hold back!!!! Hahahhaha, who is doing graphic lines? I’m going to stick with my liner sans the graphic line. Where does that style even fit..on my outing to Costco or Target or wait, maybe the fish monger, how about a date with hubby, or maybe the vet? I live in a beach community on the east coast, so this just isn’t a look that one sees here NOT to suggest I shouldn’t be a trend setter but I’m still trying to do a winged liner without making a mess, so graphic line might be far too advanced for me🤣🤣🤣 Ok, I’ve already expressed my confusion and disdain for colored mascara. WHO KEEPS ASKING FOR THIS??? Please stop whoever you are!!! Now it’s Benefit, last year it was PML, and I’m sure L’oréal or another drug store brand offered up their version of this crap. I’m disappointed that the Tatcha lipstick thingy was MEH. I wanted to pick it up but the reviews were abysmal, which was shocking. I wonder if it is the formula (stick form and has spf)? Have you tried the. original lip product in a jar? I use that a lot but only in the house because it’s not user friendly for carrying in my purse. The Tarte XL shocking! I love their tubing mascara but i can’t believe they messed that up with this product. All of supergoop needs to go back to the drawing table! I want to love their products but they always disappoint. These products deserved their day of reckoning!!!

Honestly it’s like everything you say here I’m just like screaming yes. Exactly. I didn’t realize I was not the only one who hated the Tatcha lip balm. What is it they do over there? It’s like they’re made of Teflon. Every so often they have a release that is just so incredibly terrible and yet they somehow come out clean as a whistle. And no one ever mentions it to them again. It’s like they have some sort of product embarrassment sweep up team.

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Hahahhaha, an embarrassment sweep up team🤣🤣🤣 We all need that team occasionally 🤣🤣🤣 Tatcha is often celebrated in the industry for very good reasons but when they have a flop, boy is it a flop!! I honestly can’t think of many other products that were met with such disdain and disappointment than that lip balm. And I will just put it out there, Supergoop needs an entire new team of everything! Good grief, I want to like the brand but EVERYTHING is MEH or just plain awful!! I get suckered into the marketing and once I get the product, I’m like what is this and why are they lying??? Their products either break me out, look terrible on my skin, have an off putting texture or smell, all of which makes me question if they actually product sun protection! I’m not falling for it anymore

I got myself a fresh cup of coffee to enjoy MEHkup! (You don’t sound like a frog! Your ailing voice is very screen siren/Lauren Bacall! You know she wouldn’t abide MEH makeup either!) I love #SaltyRebecca who has no patience with MEHkup! (Just not sick! We don’t want you sick!) I can’t believe the Supergoop made the MEH list. That’s very kind of you! It deserves a slot on “The worst makeup to waste your money on unless you want a pimple to befriend your cheek” list. With $180 instead of lip gloss you could buy 3 of the new 4 color stories of the YSL quads from Harvey Nichols including shipping! (They are having a sale right now) Don’t ask me how I know this!!! 😂😂

I am sorry that you are still sick but that was a great rant! That is a good list of products that I either regret buying or am glad that i didn't buy. With regard to Lisa Eldridge: I thought the mascara performed okay but won't be using that any more because it is slightly irritating to my eyes, and I agree with you about the skin tint. I do like the newer Victoria Beckham mascara though.

This was amazing! Love your honesty. I love Lisa Eldridge products and like the tint but I fully understand your criticisms. I have to use about twice as much as she recommends to get any kind of coverage. In fact, I recently picked up the YSL Nu skin tint because my mom had it it and looks amazing on her and in my opinion, it's far superior to the Lisa skin tint! Not new releases but my 'meh' products I've tried in 2024 have been the Hourglass glossy lip balm (I love the colour but I DESPISE the packaging and the menthol tingle!) and the Tower 28 concealer (way too dry for my under-eyes). Feels good to get that off my chest!

That D&G palette reminds me of what the discount cosmetic store at the Oldsmar, FL flea market sells. The people that shop there are very young girls and elderly women that get bussed in. Personally I don’t know what it is in Supergoop but everything I’ve tried from the brand burns almost immediately after application. So, I have to quickly wash it off of my kface.I was very disappointed in the addiction Tokyo palettes. The color stories, at least to me, read BORING. I love this video and I have to agree with you. It’s great to see the salty/spicy side of you. More please! I hope your antibiotics are kicking in and you’re beginning to feel better. Stay hydrated and get rest. ❤🤗❤️

😂😂😂😂 I needed this today. 😂 So, I don’t have the majority of the items in this video, but I do agree with you on so many points. White liner? Really? Maybe for some runway purposes but on an average day to day look, nope. I’m glad you confirmed my thoughts on that new Tarte mascara. I was so disappointed. It’s not anything like the original Tarte tubing mascara. Total miss on Tartes part. Agree about the Tatcha lippie. What a waste 🤦🏻‍♀️ A couple of years ago I tried a Super Goop product. It clogged my pores terribly! I haven’t purchased from Super Goop again. Crazy packaging from some of these brands. What in the world are they thinking. 🤔 Meh Magazine Episode!! A no-filter Rebecca! Aside from your 'meh' of LE, you say what we think - I love both the skin tint and mascara - perfect for no makeup days. I'd add in the recent Nars eyeshadow release - seriously, very 'meh - another warm pink/orange quad. I give up on them.

I love this, should be a regular format. It’s what we all do after buying these cult products, hating them but feeling like you have to use them because of the price. Stay with high end reviews though unless it’s something earth shaking.

I've never had a problem with the gisou lip oils pooling on the sides of my lips. If anything, the formula is thin and looks and feels nice! But I get that if it did that for some people, it would be super annoying 😄

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Oh really? I think the darkest shade is strawberry sorbet, and I have that and watermelon sugar. Both seem to work fine for me, but I have super dry skin so maybe my lips just sucks up the extra moisture? 😅 I have no idea, but I could imagine the sensation of pooling in the corners of your lips to be annoying. I loved your comment about the Dolce and Gabbana packaging 😂 It is sooo gaudy you're right!

I would also be thinking of all the things I could have bought with the $180! But, you still use it so that’s good. I love this meh series but I also feel bad because it means you are using (and purchasing!!) blah makeup. You looked so pretty❤ I am glad you were able to have fun while recovering 💕💕

Skin tints!!! I don't know why I insist on trying new ones when I don't see the point in them! If I want a lighter coverage I'll just use less of my fav foundation! Has that stopped me from buying them? Nopes....but I don't love the LE tint either...I am LOVING this side of you today!!! Been waiting at the my version of the DMV for almost 2 hours and this video is making it so much better!

I like the “villain origin story” - what could you buy with $180 dollars? Well the TF foundation and 1/2 a bottle of the TF primer, of course 😅 LOL - I like to see the aftermath of underwhelmed products reviews - it’s hard to know if something works out right away - I’m kind of underwhelmed with the LE balm - gasp, don’t tell her, bc I’m in love with her - I do like how they feel, but there’s no point to me if the color is so faint - I bought one of the medium shades of a Dior balm lipstick thing (I can’t figure out the names of all the types), and I liked it more, and it also feels great and nourishing- but I guess they’re more expensive- I just bought the Dior refill and didn’t get charged extra for the luxury and privilege of a case to go with it, lol
