Issue with mein is that they spelled wahaj and ayeza romance in teasers but showed azekah and wahaj together and any other actress like Kinza could have even better

I would have never guessed that Main is Zaid’s story. He was sidelined in his own story then. The story was all about Mubashira Jafar as it was presented to us.

Fhakhar uncle planning which went on mute Zaid constantly changing behaviour? Just concerned about did they or did they not in turkey? Thats it.? You had the chance to interview the writer you should be representing all the fans and clearing all the doubts.

If director's input is in the script then writers are not to be fully blamed for such flawed scripts.

Let's not forget Mein's OST video set the wrong expectations of the story from Day 1. You can't blame the writer for that! The OST video definitely set expectations of a love story between Zaid and MJ, when they could barely be civil to each other 😂

I have seen zanjabeels prior interviews and find her very inspirational and a genuinely good person. I also LOVED aik nazar meri taraf which explored the themes of infidelity in a nuanced way. Having said that, MAN her new dramas are beyond bad. I wish she didn’t fall into the TRP ratings pressure and could hold her own against channels and production houses. I want her to write something of her own without any external pressure and give us another gem like aik nazar meri taraf

This interview only tells me that I shouldnt watch any dramas written by ZAS or Directed by BM. I want to see writers and directors do work for the art form and not for ratings and money. I am not their target audience, so it doesnt make a difference but this is the worst way of story telling.

I only watched this Main drama because i am a dieheart fan of Wahaj Ali and today after listening this interview, i just want Wahaj to choose scripts wisely like before because in this industry no one thinks about actor, they only think about ratings either writer, director or producer, everyone has their mein. So please Wahaj, I have always prayed for you but if you would not think about yourself than it will be not fair with you and us( your fans).❤❤

After listening to her, i am thankful that we have writers like KRQ, Umaira, Faiza, Amna Mufti and Zafar Mairaj who have the calliper to write even a basic story yet they have the ability to make it absolutely phenomenal. Pick any of their dramas and you won’t find boring storyline or disastrous dramas. I am not a writer but even i know that if you want to write something which should be brilliant then don’t think about the story first. Think about the characters first. If they are interesting and attractive then they will guarantee take you on a ride with them. Badar came to you with this scene that a boy comes in and says to his wife that i will marry another woman within 2 days. Your first thought should have been that how to make this guy interesting and appealing. Instead your train of thoughts must have been how to throw obstacles at him one after another which are the tropes of the story. You didn’t thought about his personality. Will he be stupid? Naive? Clueless? Even if he is all those then to what extent? What he will do and what he can’t do? Instead yahan par writer aur Director ne shock value k leye 2 4 scenes sochy hur hain. 1 assault attempt karwana hai, 4 thappar hain, shohar b.v ka haath pakary par sex ni kary ga? Bun gai kahani. Even if you want to show this then do a better job. Mein ne is drama ki pehli 5 Ep dekhi thinaur us k baad promos. Promos mein hi pata chal jaata ha poori kahani ka. Itna experience hogya hai k mein ghar walon ko kehta hoon k ub ye hoga aur exactly wuhi hojata hai aur wo mera munh dekh rahy hoty hain. Bus kar 2 ye predictability se bharpoor dramas. Aap log to dang k dialogues tuk ni likh sakty. Scene dekhty hue pata chal jaata ha k ub ye kya boly ga ya boly gi.

Sorry madam it wasn't a Zaid story. From the beginning it was Crazy Mubashshara. Jaffer and all time seezly Ayera. From the beginning crying and there is no spark between zaid and Ayera. Writer should learn how to Express love expressions. May be they haven't experienced such romantic experience. Zahid is such a poor mild character

There should be a disclosure on dramas that says “Mindlessly produced for TRPs/mass consumption”. That way the rest of us can save our time and energy for other dramas.

She was a good writer back then, she wrote some good dramas but not now. Mein is such a trash script that me as a Wahaj Ali and Ayeza khan fan stopped watching it after some episodes.

No doubt Zaid was poorly written character and was implemented badly too..but major fault of Wahaj was to sign this shit script n character. It affected his hype dt was created after tere bin.

in my opinion, only two dramas of zanjabeel Asim shah are worth watching: 1. Ik nazar meri taraf 2. Pyar ky sadqy besides these two, she is an overrated writer. Kbhi yeh acha likhti then ab ni likhten.. Agar koi inka best work dekhna chahta hy to wo "ik nazar meri taraf " dekhy. story boht umda hy aur dialogues boht Alaa hain.

Wahaj signed 'Mein' because of Ayeza, that's a fact and Ayeza signed Mein because she had a margin to perform. But the producer and director were dumb to bring such big names in this kind of mediocre storyline. Literally they could have made it even more interesting with that bossy attitude of Ayeza and hype around Wahaj. Zanjabeel had the potential to write something better but Badar Mehmood had that dumb idea😑 If this show only focused on Ayeza and Wahaj and had a better story toh easily was a next Billion club show. Badar Mehmood ruined Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha too...! That was also a very dumb story like you can't even explain what the story was about 😂

I wish Something Haute would decide to be gutsy enough and interview/grill producers like Fahad Mustafa/kadwani. It’s easy to pick on writers I guess. As far as I am understanding it’s the producers who decide what is shown and what is not shown on their channels.

What a fkin letdown man! So basically there was no thought, no story to begin with, just two scenes by Badar which anyone could incorporate any which way in any drama. Writers are writing for money and justifiably so, but they’re writing only for money, that’s not right. They’ve amalgamated scenes that excite audience without any meaning behind them. What’s the point? Even a guilty pleasure show has some sense but mein had none and madam writer has herself acknowledged the same. In the quest to watch something “easy” we must not watch illogical and meaningless things at least. IM is an easy watch to me, yet it’s not testing my logic, there’s a reason why characters are doing the things which they’re doing. Understand the difference between an easy watch and sloppy writing.

80’s aur 90’s main bhi problems theen society main but the TV dramas used to work to improve the society and educate the masses and not just show the lowest form of society reality! There used to be such good dramas then, depicting all facets of society and in the end showing ways to improve the rot in society instead of glamorising the low level of society. I don’t agree with “we show what’s in the society”. You have a responsibility to improve the society instead of reinforcing the low class values. And why are they only focusing on the low mindsets of society instead of the enlightened, progressive mindsets of society

I have an advice for writer…We all work for money but art should not be done solely for money .A piece of art should be made passionately and money will ultimately come in .She has given Pyar key Sadqay and that’s still her claim to fame .Mein got views just because of star cast . I wish our production houses don’t drag creative people like her into rating race and she also recognizes her true potential instead of giving another Mein!!

I like the way how she answered all questions with the honesty about her work and the process. I wana give opinion on one thing, when she was explaining about her upcoming drama of Muneeb Butt, where she address the mental illness and saying of nobody at home (mother/sister etc)can pin point or address the mental illnesses and all that. I get it that’s what the reality is and that’s how it’s going on real life. But i have been seen in recent dramas people are getting a mental help (although ratio is rare). I feel like if people will watch how important is to get help if you are having behavioural issues then it will also give awareness to so many people. At least be human, she clearly said Badar said ye bhi daal dete hain absolutely disgusting... Zanjabil back in the day used to be an authentic writer, my most favourite are Ek Nazar Meri Taraf and Marasim, a pity that people know her for Mein Fitoor etc and not those nuanced intelligent plays. Also Pyar ke Sadqay wasn't her best writing it was enjoyable but I remember she put a forced dusri biwi angle to that also... As far as "Mein" is concerned, it was never enjoyable for me not so called daddy cool's character not mubashra because the premise was so wrong... Mr Asif a potential murdered harasser is casually treated as if it's so normal to be that ruthless and no one has a problem with that? His so called swagger isn't appealing to me at all because he's an out and out evil character I wish to see his downfall...and people rooting for mubashra and zaid had me feeling disgusted because the idea was so unjust...in one episode mubashra oh so casually falsely accused her driver of harassment and it is treated as normal? She's a narcissistic and manipulative character (played splendidly by Aiza) cannot be rooted for... And it is very unjust that Azikeh was never shown in the posters or promotions because she's also one of the main characters... And btw Ayra's brother dies in Mein so there is a death... superficial shallow writing by Zanjabil please do better..

What's wrong in Easy to watch dramas. Fairy Tale was a very easy to watch drama and loved by everybody loved it. Zindagi Gulzar hai was wonderful even if there was real fight scene at the library but that was the demand of the scene. I don't watch Indian serials because those are very regressive and now the Pakistan dramas are turning like that sadly

Worst Wahaj Ali drama..Hats off to ppl giving it views..But Zaid's father stole the show.He has got 'Presence '.. Wahaj is looking so drab n disinterested throughout.

Once upon a time there were haseena moin who went to a village to study village life in order to write about it in her script. You had plays about a man on death row, a women accusing her BIL of harassment, about drugs, comedy etc now we have people like theses who use their limited rating meters to deduced your audience are empty tins can who should be ok with trash. This has made me appreciate ekta and writers who wrote plays in 90's for ITV and have no problem in admitting what they sold the audience was absurd, unrealistic and regressive. Here our industry comes to defend it which is actually regressive thinking, the absurdity to say well its an industry well whats the point of that industry when you can even export that content ?. This is such a let down of an interview for anyone who thought Zanjabeel was a good writer. She writes for paycheck. The way she said massi does not get logical argument is what a elitist mind thinks. The only reason local content thrives is there is lack of options for common man and those who are able to compete with them are banned. I would suggest these tv channels to korean content , its modest, deals with all subjects without resorting to glorifying things like marital abuse, violence they have rating system too are a conservative society and honestly grow up .
