Those who keep asking about Mel not seeing her mother for 8-9 years, she said in another interview that there was a family rift because of her bad marriage, and she disconnected with her family and close friends while living in L.A. After she got out of her marriage and her dad died, she reconnected with her mother and family. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

I like her personality so much, un-phased by everything, she speaks her mind, not in an evil way, and I love that she straight up just speaks things into happening. Like I do that for certain things now, like just act as if it's happening and it will more times than you might expect lol.

Yeah, it's sad. Her mum actually disapproved her abusive husband, but like most of the time, women choose their men over their own blood... Tale as old as time but they reconciled when she broke up with him. Ironically her mom was right about him all along.

I could be wrong, so don't quote me on this, but I think it was connected with her abusive marriage to a sociopath. The abusive marriage affected her family as well, which it often does when a sociopath is involved. So I imagine it could potentially be related. But again, I just remember hearing it briefly once, I could be mistaken about it.
