The Japanese language doesn't really separate legs from feet, so "hakimono" basically refers to things put on the lower half of the body which is why Towa asked about skirts. 2:28 - Cool language thing here. 我慢しい(gamanshii) is dialectal, short for 我慢(gaman/endurance/patience/self-control)+しなさい(shinasai/imperative). A more literal translation would be "Show some restraint even if you've drunk too much" but it sounded awkward to me so I used "no excuse" which infers telling them to show restraint and sounds a bit more natural. 3:11 - Cute Towa and Koyori 4:50 - Similar case as before. "Nomu" doesn't just refer to drinking, but also refers to taking medicine so Mel was clarifying. 6:43 - I normally wouldn't use male/female as descriptors here, but since the subjects in question were a little girl and a wolf, using woman/man would be misleading. 11:08 - Just watch Suisei here lol Answers if they went by too quickly: 1: The footwear was a stocking that was hung up so Santa could put presents in 2: Guy woke up and realized he left his contacts in because he could see. 3: Jack was at a tea ceremony. It's custom to sit seiza style and your legs go to sleep pretty quickly, so he couldn't stand up. 4: Little Red Riding Hood 5: Yoshio liked his personal trainer, so he stopped losing weight so he could keep going to see her at the gym

i think im like suichan, i can arrive at the answer if someone else is questioning on the right track, but i wouldnt be able to think of a question myself.. mel is good at asking the right question, she probably finds clue inside the main question itself then debunk it.. towa probably is making it overcomplicated in her brain so it took time before she arrives at the answer

Mel's genius here is pretty overwhelming, but it feels like things that you've either lived through or heard of others living through would have contributed to the knowledge bank. Like, I used to wear contacts but stopped because I was terrified I'd fall asleep wearing them (seen so many others with eye issues afterwards). So the person who opened the curtains and saw that they blundered really resonated here. Everything else is just context clues and piecing things together and it was just great. Mel's genius is not to be underestimated.
