Heard this absolutely beautiful song on a Brokenwood episode and had to find your channel. I’m a new fan now. 😊

What is it about New Zealand that produces so many phenomenally talented singer songwriters? Ms Parsons is another incredibly gifted composer and performer in the indie / alt country scene from the very edge of the southwest Pacific. It is hard to sing her praises sufficiently. I just hope the she can someday make it over to Sydney to perform some of her so many beautiful songs.

I love it as it can be both comforting and uplifting at the same time, and has helped me a little through some recent depression. Recently discovered the music of Mel Parsons through Brokenwood cd, and I love the tone, pace and range of songs. There is a UK artist called Thea Gilmore that has a similar range and tone if you are looking for more inspiration.
