I, too, am Slovenian,brought up in a bilingual household and so proud of it. Melania is not only classy and expresses herself so well. No one cares about having an accent just listen to her words. Melania has chiseled, high cheekbones as many Slovenian women have which makes them so beautiful. The best first lady ever. The best president ever. Donald and Melania 2016!! Love to them and their wonderful, talented children.

Senator Dole was badly wounded in the arm and the upper back during World War II from Nazi machine-gun fire. He took a long, long time to recover after the war. He is a great American, and the toughest among us!

Overall she did well, English is not her first language, maybe her 3rd or 4th, and is typically a shy person, and it's not easy speaking in front of thousands live and knowing tens of millions are watching. Very good marks to her.

this wasn't "Michelle's speech". They both used canned speeches, perhaps by the same professional speech writer who owns the copyrights. The writer modifies the speech for the person giving it. Holloooooo, most speeches by politicians are SCRIPTED, read from a teleprompter. When I heard this last night, I was thinking, WHAT ARE THEY DOING, SOUNDS TOO DISNEY! Perhaps trying to appeal to young ladies to grab their "vogue votes". I doubt she heard Manshelle read the speech in 2008. She reviewed it with Donny, thought that it sounds good, and used it, just as Obama did on 08. Just shows that many speeches are scripted, nothing new.

Of course speeches are written by professional speech writers, however they draw the ideas from the speaker and others around them and the speech writer puts the thoughts and beliefs in a powerful worded speech. Many speakers then review the speech and make their little changes or tweaks to suit themselves. Everyone does it, not only in politics but in business as well. How the speech is delivered is another question. How can you prove that Michelle and Melanie used the same speech writer? Can you provided backup to that, as that would be an interesting find.

Melania. She could not have done this better. Even the minor stumbles in her speech were entirely charming. I love that for all her spectacular beauty and wealth, that she is very much old school european, family centered, work ethic, word is bond. I love that she respects her husband but does not fawn at him. She is very much a person in her own right and not just a pretty pet. I am happy for how pleased Bob Dole and his family were at the recogniton. And oh dear Lord, what a contrast between the women in Trump's family compared to Hillary Rotten. They glow with warmth, sincerity and substance.
