I too had a Chihuahua named Mouse. His name was actually Might E. Mouse and he passed 2 years ago. I thought that coincidence was kind of crazy but I love Melanie she was awesome in The Last of Us and the Yellow Jackets. I also remember her as Rose on Two and a Half Men, she was creepy in a sweet way. Her impression of Drew was perfect!

The first time I heard Melanie in an interview, I had no idea she's really from New Zealand because she's so good with the American dialect. And she's married to Jason Ritter, John Ritter's son, he's a good actor, too. 😊

I've been watching this woman for half of my life, and only just now found out....when i tell you the sounds of disbelief and "WHAT IS HAPPENING" when she opened her mouth. I imagine its like when people in America (here find out that our beloved House (Hugh Laurie( is from across. I've witnessed THAT particular mind blow many times and im glad i've experienced it As an actress, I cant admire this woman enought already..or so I thought. HER TALENT for American dialects is unmatched. I've been trained/studied accents and dialects on my own time as well, and spotting dodgy accents/when people slip happens so often it became a huge game for me when i watch cinema. When i tell you how much i've watched her and NEVER HEARD ANY INDICATION...im a little scared of this superhuman talent. Its so much harder than people think . ONE vowel gives you right away and is distracting, and ive never seen her drop it. Im so astounded and feel blessed rn haha

It's crazy how even as one of her most devoted fans I can sometimes forget she is from New Zeland and has still her native New Zealand accent..hearing her speak in her regula voicr can be so weord sometimes because ebery once in awhile you can hear her say some words in her acting American accenta.. I absolutely LOVE HER. In everything she's ever done.. she ALWAYS delivers when in a role and she is iconic and so talented i am so very happy she is FINALLY getting the recognision she so deserves! she is amazing with accents also.. I remember in Coyote Ugly she had that south jersey accent down perfect lol and that's a hard one to get right sometimes.. she's that good that people can't even tell she is doing a fake accent for her role! I know i said it before but i must say it again, ot is so amazing that she is FINALLY getting the roles and the credits with admiration that she has for so very long deserved! She is said to be the NICEST and most down to Earth person in Hollywood, and she is also one of the MOST talented, you KNOW she will always give 110% and nail everything she commits to perfectly no matter how big or small the role is.. she had such a tiny part in The Last of Us but she was so amazing even for that small part she stole that episode and she was the main person for that one! She is lovely and truly deserves all the appreciation and respect she is getting g for her dedication and amazing talent!

I love her I first saw her in Heavenly Creatures then later on Ever After and have followed her career ever since. She's so great in any role she plays. She has a lovely personality her and her husband make such an adorable so cute. Sometimes I forget she's Australian she has played so many roles with an American accent and her American accent is perfect so when I hear her real accent I'm like oh yeah I forgot she is Australian lol. Love her.

Her story about Keanu asking her if she had a pet is hilarious. He actually does things like this regularly. One fan he talked to he randomly asked what bands he liked. And asked him to recommend some bands. He's a cool dude. I wonder if that's a skill he developed being at the stage of fame he is at. Just be curious, ask a question even if it seems random. I know a lot of famous people feel a weight on them to interact with someone. Especially fans who adore them. And that's kind of weird position to be in. Someone is just adoring you. So you kind of have to break the ice because you're the one they love.

How come no one in the audience manifested any reaction when she mentioned Peter Jackson's "Heavenly Creatures"?! An outstanding performance at the age of 16 on a great movie (BTW Kate Winslet is great on it too, but Melanie is just a bit above).
