WhatReallyMatters tbh her being on the voice didn't help her. she was making music before and after she got on the voice. she doesn't have to be humble ,,, sigh. she was 16 when she was on the show and she's changed a lot since now that she's 21. im sure to her its embarrassing still being recognized as the "16 year old indie artist" from the voice when she's proven she's much more than a girl that lost in the voice.

Take Adele for example, she is a talented artist, not a product in the way christina or bieber etc is. Same goes for Alicia Keys. I'll never forget her audition. The first time she auditioned I was like holy cow this girl is good! My mom and I were saying how amazing she was. I was so impressed with her playing the tambornie, guitar, and on top of that how she was singing. Her and Mackenzie Bourg were my absolute favorites on The Voice. I remember in Freshman year I went to class one day with a bun in my hair and a red bow in the middle and I was so excited because my teacher noticed and she said she watched The Voice too and she asked me if I was doing Melanie's style xD I was like yes!:D Look how far she's made it now! She's super sweet during her meet and greets💕💘 I love her music.I knew she'd make it far. I'm still supporting MacKenzie too on American Idol. I know he's going to go just as far too. I would love if one day Melanie and MacKenzie got together again like when they did their ustream together and maybe got to sing a duet! That would be really cool:)

Melanie is so cuteee and her little "woo!" at the end was adorable 😭 little did she know how much she would accomplish since this audition, and im so happy to be a Melanie fan today and see how far she has come with her new album portals having just come out, and her albums + ep in the past, and to think about her having directed a movie, and in 2024 we'll have another, she has designed clothes, made up all her dance choreography, etc. Shes so creative and a wonderful person and i love her 💕

some of yall are so extra lmao. if you've seen christina on this show for at least one season, you'd know she tends to gravitate towards singers who have powerful vocal control. I love Melanie and this is one of the best covers I've ever seen on the show but if you pay attention to her voice it's very breathy, and she has that indie singer/songwriter voice that Christina typically shies away from. It's personal preference, this was a really great cover but it was an ok vocal performance. That's why Christina didn't push her button. She's not salty cuz she sang a Britney song and she's definitely not jealous lmfao.

***** Plus Christina has a very narrow view of what artistry is. She tends to stick with artists who are very similar to her. Watching the voice has shown that she can be very petty and jealous. She treated Melanie terribly as well as Dia Frampton and also the dude who was in the Micky Mouse Club. Her poor attitude along with her narrow idea of artistry is why she has never won the Voice and probably never will.

I feel it was great that Christina didn't turn around , one thing about this show that pisses me off is the coaches turn around mainly because they think the voice is good but have nothing to offer it , alot of the time they all turn for big huge voices but really how can someone who isn't a soprano teach someone who is anything ? It's not your strong point so stay in your lane . Which is exactly what Christina did , she wouldn't be able to guide Melanies voice anything since that's not Christian's strong point . I hope people understand what I'm trying to say , I'm in no way bashing lower ranges , I'm just saying .

11yrs ago, I witnessed this 2 toned hair young miss remix a favorite song of mine and I became hooked on her voice.. fast forward to now stumbling thru my old SoundCloud faves list and her voice hits the same...God bless the songstresses of this world..they express what we can't and keep us sane.
