A little advice about honesty: Honesty usually benefits the one being honest to more than the one being honest. Depending on what you're being honest about it may be equivalent to handing someone that is pissed at you a loaded gun and asking them not to shoot you. In other words don't give away your honesty like its worthless. Treat it like its one of the most valuable things you own and who is worthy of it. The real world is strange and many things we learned as kids need to be reworked to serve us as adults!

She fired you, you never gave notice. You never ever tell your employer you are looking for another job or any co workers either. They should have no idea it is happening until you have officially give your two weeks notice. This was a newbie mistake girl.

I remember three years ago I was soooo excited when I started my first dental assistant job, which I recently quit… and right at this moment I’m not sure if I want to keep being a dental assistant anymore, I feel like every place is going to be toxic in some way and since DA’s are at the bottom of the hierarchy, I feel like we do so much, and don’t get rewarded as we should…

I’m so sorry this happened! She definitely took advantage of the situation. Now you know that if you’re terminated from a job to ask for the termination information/forms for unemployment, the employer is required by federal law to give this to you, but also depends the state you’re in. So happy you’re in a new job 😊❤️

Love your positivity❤️ I’ve gone through something like that and fell into depression it was the worst I cried all the time! I had a review with the manager and they told me good things they were proud of me and my growth but the next day I got fired I left with so many questions and the manager could care less she just wanted my key and me out the building 🙃

Managers suck fr 😒 I've always fallen into the trap of thinking we're friends, but then when I try to do what's best for me, get shit on, it's so freaking annoying!!! I'm glad you found a new job that you actually love! And I'm sorry for that frustrating situation, that's so annoying.

Yeah never trust a manager… when i left my last job, i told them i was putting in my 2 weeks cause i was going back to school in case the new job didn’t work out and i needed to come back lol also i made sure to use all my vacation hours before leaving

There's this in every field, I've had some weirdddd experiences in the dental field tho. I've also had employers saying, "falsified stories" when you try to tell them how you got fired and I got banned from unemployment for a YEAR, mind you this happened during COVID, da fuuuuukkkkk bro

Babygirl! That was Gods way to answering your prayer! Anytime you do not feel at peace about something that is a clear sign that is not coming from God. That office sounds shady to begin with they led you to look for another job to later say you quit when in reality they did not want you there but did not want to be upfront about it bc they would’ve been responsible for unemployment. Same here i was with pacific dental for 5 years and a jealous manager got me fired she kept complaining about everything I did.said she didn't want me to make more money than her.we start getting off at 9pm then getting sent home early and my doctor played Like my best friend until she heard I was looking to transfer they wouldn't let me so i start looking for another job and I got fired and was told five different reasons for getting fired lol i was pissed haven't went back since

I was starting to feel like I didn't give dental assisting a fair shot, but this video is a reminder that I made the right decision leaving the field. Never treat coworkers, especially managers, as genuine friends. Keep it professional. Also you should've told her in person not a text. You basically gave her a written notice (evidence) that she used to her advantage.

I feel like she fired you because she may have a friend of hers that wanted your job. Because why would she fire you when she doesn’t have someone to take your place yet?? And that’s messed up they hired you for 8-5pm but that wasn’t the hours they had you working

Same thing happened to my sister she made the mistake of not using her PTO let it be a lesson looking into new jobs use your PTO!

I lost a job after three weeks and literally all they would say is I don't mesh well with current staff, no examples given......sometimes life is just crummy. Always have an emergency fund of min 6 mths expenses! especially since unemployment in my mind is a crap shoot....the stories I could tell you....

I’m sorry you had to go through that, you seem very sweet! I’m actually looking into becoming a dental assistant with no prior education/experience. Im praying I find a local office that is willing to give me the opportunity to train on the job. Im most definitely scared of employers like this 🫠. I feel as if your ex manager may have felt that you were doing a work interview and took it the wrong way.
