Only in Melbourne cbd where the trams runs at the intersection to turn right you need to stop on the left giveaway for the tram and turn right when the light change, but out side cbd then turn right you stop at right lane and turn when you can . The yering station vine yard in Yarra valley is also a very nice to visit .

I always say to myself that based on what I see so far on youtube in general (and I now include your channel), that Aussie seems/feels like: -a sunny AND happier version of UK OR - A MORE modernised/newly-revised version of UK 😂😂😂😂😂

It is! If you like the UK for aspects of its culture, and still want some of that but with better weather and happier people, Australia is the place to be :)

Domain Chandon is owned by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy. We akways take visitors to Healesville. You can book or even just request a ranger to guide you. The raptor display is amazing. My aunt had her hair parted by one bird, and 20kg and six feet wingspan of wedgetail eagle squeezed between my aunt and uncle in full flight chasing the handler with a bit of rabbit. With my aunt and uncle, the guide took us to the reptile enclosure and said ' Australian snakes are not poisonous'. They were incredulous. They were all looking at him like he was crazy. Everyone knows Australia has 9 of the 10 most deadly snakes. He said 'oh no, you can eat any of then with perfect safety.' Then he said 'They are venemous though - if they bite you, youre dead...... '🤣

Calling Melbourne a dump seems overly harsh but we would love to visit Queensland and Perth.

another thing . a local would say stay out of the city . but, as a tourist you should stay in the city . that is where all action is. if you stay at bondi you are on buses all day.

After driving in the UK last year and trying to navigate the enormous gyratories and failing most of the time to locate street signs that could be on the wall of a building or on a garden wall while managing the indicators and windscreen wipers (on the opposite side to us) was a bit stressful for a couple of OAP’s. The car we hired was brand new with the latest hi-tech but no manual. The satnav cut out 10 minutes into our trip and we were lost in Manchester for two hours! Luckily the maps app on my phone worked when I opened it as Vodafone UK just automatically took over as the provider of my phone. As a driver I was glad to get back to Melbourne with our wider streets and much slower speed zones. Funnily enough we were in the UK in Summer and everyone kept saying you should have been here last month because the weather was very windy and wet most of the time but our attitude is weather is nothing you can control. I live very close to all the wineries, but still in one of the over 1,000 suburbs of Melbourne.

Interesting to get your take on the UK. Growing up in the UK, we are obviously used to it but do see how it can be difficult. We loved the areas by the wineries we visited in Melbourne.

I have lived in Sydney, Melbourne and now Adelaide. Food and wine is best in Adelaide. Beaches are amazing and less crowded in Adelaide. Weather is hot in summer but not humid and winters are mild. Performing arts is best in Australia, biggest Fringe and Arts Festival, Womadelaide, Cabaret Festival etc etc etc. But don't tell anyone from Sydney. They just say Adelaide is boring. Yeah nah.

There are other freeways that get you out of the city more easily and quickly. It just depends on the direction you go in. The one you were on is the most difficult. Just about every vineyard is gorgeous with its own ambience. You picked a very quiet time to visit. A few of them put on outdoor concerts with food and drinks. If you had continued on up into the mountains behind (Mt. Dandenong ) you would have experienced the lush sub temperate forests with the tallest flowering trees in the world, beautiful tree ferns, parks, rivers, waterfalls and fascinating, unique wildlife. 'Yarra' is pronounced y (as in yellow) -- a (as in apple) -- rr (soft pron. - non rhetoric) -- a (as in up). It's an indigenous word. Australia has many indigenous names for places etc. Some of them are real tongue-twisters !

Ferns do not flower, they propagate by using spores. Spores are produced on the undersides of the fern fronds in small capsules called sporangia. When ripe, the sporangia shed thousands of spores that are dispersed by the wind. Flowering plants are plants that bear flowers and fruits, and form the clade Angiospermae.

Melbourne was the richest city in the world in 1850's - we had a gold rush and lots of buildings built in Melbourne then.

Nup. Melbourne's a doddle compared to Sydney where if you're in the wrong lane coming to the harbour bridge you'll be going to a different suburb to where you want.

Spray tan central? Sydney's a harbour bridge and opera house. Then to go anywhere or do anything you need a cut lunch, a camel train and hours to waste.
