With every trip criss-crossing the country, you know there has to be at least ONE foodie video. Well, here I am with Melbourne and Perth, I stayed a night in each of these cities during this trip as part of a wider itinerary.
Asking me to choose which is my favourite is Sophie's choice, so why not just combine them two together?

I've been eagerly awaiting this video to drop. At the same time, I actually HATE watching myself. I feel this is going to be very cringey. hehe You should just move to Melbourne, considering how many times you visit. I have not tried chiki chiki yet. I love all things fried and golden! Absolutely gutted that BLokM was closed. Really wanted their Iga Bakar. OMG that Thai chicken rice was everything. Like you know, I've been back since. haha Chicken, rice, sauce...immense! Maybe it's time for me to return to Bangkok. You're headed there so you'll be eating the real stuff soon. OMG I want that HK French Toast again. This is truly evil watching this video first thing in the morning! Still cari makan in Perth. I will definitely add Hong Kong BBQ House when I visit Perth later this year. OMG that char siew and the siew yok! Pho is my go to on a cold day. I've never had a pho with prawn pancake before. I am beef combination all the way. WOW another absolutely brilliant video. Not because I'm on it, on the contrary, but I love your foodie videos. Looking forward to the next installment.

I'll trust you on that! For now, I've decided to concentrate my Thailand visit next month on Chiang Mai! I'm so excited. Btw, I am flying out of SYD for that trip. Am definitely gonna be on the prowl for some great grub.

I been to Japan many many times and always surprised about the potato dishes like their croquet and potato salad. Always so good! So common to get a nice little bowl of potato salad as an appetizer.

Dodee paidang has great traditional Thai food. Alot of chilli and sour taste in their menu. U should try that next when u back in Melbourne.

I've walked past them many times but have resisted the urge to go in. Let's just say my experiences with Thai food in OZ haven't been the greatest. I'll try them next time.

@ryansofly1624 I am the same as you. I hate Thai sweet curry. In Dodee paidang. Nothing is sweet unless dessert. And the mango salad if u ask them spicy. It will burn your tongue off. That how to extream the spice in that restaurant is.

Can you ask Lisa if she thinks there's anywhere in Perth now that was as good the old "Roasting Duck" in Northbridge that came back as the "Hung Kee BBQ" for a little while?

Hi this is Lisa. I don’t quite understand your question…. Hong Kei in Riverton is famous for their char siew. They don’t do duck. For roast duck I like Duck Duck Roasted meats in Coventry Market, Morley

@@lisasavourey3621 "The Roasting Duck" was a restaurant in the L-shaped carpark across Forbes Lane from Viet Hoa. It was around in the 90s/2000s. It shut down and later on the owner made a comeback with "Hung Kee" on William street. Had roast duck, teo chew soy duck, violin duck and char siu like I've never been able to find anywhere else.
