@@CrankDatRrated1 You need to get the answers right in order to get more money, get them wrong, you lose money. James would be the perfect guy to get the questions right so that they can walk with as much money as possible.
@alexanderpytko53942 жыл бұрын
@@CrankDatRrated1The way it works is all questions are multiple choice, they show the multiple answers, but not the question, to the contestant outside the isolation room first. That contestant then decides where they want the balls on the wall to drop from based on their confidence of their partner knowing the answer. Then they show the question to both contestants and the contestant in isolation answers it to the best of their knowledge. If they're right, whatever the money value the ball lands on is added to their total, if they're wrong whatever money value the ball lands on is subtracted from their total. The contestant in isolation does not get to choose where the balls drop from and also has no idea what the money value on the wall is or even where their partner set up the ball. So James would be the right person to go into isolation and Melissa would be the right person to set up the balls on the wall.

@ajk5 жыл бұрын
@Winslow There's also the fact of the budget costs it'd incur to do that regularly. Years ago in the 60's and 70's, the original (which I am thinking is what Janis is remembering but could be wrong) allowed that (albeit running into the same issue you speak of here on a smaller scale with contestants content with what they had and not playing for more than that), and with smaller dollar values of $10-$50 and $20 to $100 respectively they could reasonably get away with it budget wise. But with the higher dollar values in play both when it first came back in 84 and especially so once they doubled them in 2001 to what they are currently, they'd be in debt fast if they did that now. Much more cost effective to have just one winner. They eliminated ties a few seasons back for a similar reason in part I think too.

*10000$ for that gimmie super easy joke of a question? WTF?* If it wasn't multiple choice or if it had much harder options to guess from it would _maybe_ be a viable question for some very low value, but the answers made it impossible to get wrong even if you knew next to nothing about any of the answers. The only other answer that would be close to reasonable to answer would be "my little pony", but how common is adopting horses? and who calls it adoption? Absolutely ridiculous question. I guess in this new format the values are random? Even then the question seemed too easy.
@MsHojat4 жыл бұрын
The reason that D)Liberty bell seems like a good answer to go with despite the ask the audience results being so spread out is that it doesn't seem like an answer that clueless people would guess. That is probably the least well-known and least recognizable monument of the 4, and also one that I never even considered to be a _national_ monument like the others. Instead it seems more like a Philadelphia monument, even though I guess it's still understandable for it to be a national monument, it's just not as well known. Although it is very odd that so many people chose Washington monument over Statue of Liberty and White House. Seems like a fluke to me, but maybe a lot of people had some reason to think it (maybe because it appears on the bill or an old bill in non holographic form?) edit: wow that bell isn't even 3D at all. Nor is it holographic. It's just shiny. What a piece of crap; that's such outdated tech they used on that bill and it looks like poo too. They need to take a look at Canadian money or something.
