She's got a very attractive face and that helps, but let's face it, in Hollywood today (and always I guess), a woman doesn't usually even get to a casting room if she doesn't have a beautiful face AND body (by beautiful I mean Hollywood's parameters of beauty). But McCarthy defied the odds simply because she's so talented and she has that winning charisma that people just love.

Everyone wants her to lose weight, but it's my opinion that she's choosing not to because of the roles she plays as an actress. She's famous for being overweight and crude. Just imagine if she had been thin in "The Heat" or "Identity Thief" or "Bridesmaids." Her character(s) wouldn't have been half as funny. In all honesty I think she makes more money this way.
