Can’t even have friends without people jumping to conclusions. Melissa is married with children- and an amazing speaker and homesteader. We sat through sessions with her last year at the inaugural Homestead Festival and we learned SO MUCH!

This man has a heart of gold. He is truly a caring soul. My dear daddy would always watch Rory & Joey on his country music channel, sitting in his fav chair, in Fort Payne Alabama. He was a huge fan of Rory & Joey when she was still with us, and would still be today if he were here. I love their music and his love for his daughters and family ties. I feel my daddy watching too whenever I watch his videos. God bless them, and God bless my daddy. ✨🌻💛

I thought of All the Homesteaders that you may want to know that Asbury College in Kentucky Revival has come to the University!! It started last Wednesday night and the testimonies of what God is doing is Amazing!! God Bless All Homesteaders!!

All I wish for is Rory's happiness. Why do people seem to think he has no happiness without remarrying. If he is meant to find a love beyond what he had with Joey, then God and Joey will see to it that he finds the person he needs. If he chooses to remain faithful to Joey until his own death and beyond then we should all respect that. Quit praying he remarries, it's not our business.

I listened to Rory in an interview not long ago and he said he still considers himself married to Joey even though she is not currently here with him. It was just so powerful to hear him talk about the connection with his wife. He didn't sound at all like he was wanting to meet and remarry someone. I think people just think things should be a certain way if a spouse passes on, a lot of people can't imagine life could be fulfilling without an earthly marriage, so they assume a person like Rory should want to meet someone after an appropriate time. I think he is doing fine letting God lead him.

Yes we realize that. My comment was more about how a lot of people make assumptions that he's unhappy without a living wife by his side and that he needs to get remarried.

Amen to literally everything you said. Some of these people are so nosy and feel entitled to know Rory’s every move. It’s creepy. And it’s creepy that some people are SO ADAMANT that he remarry RIGHT NOW. This isn’t the 1800s, a man doesn’t have to have a wife at all times.

Wish I lived closer and could attend. We are only in our 2nd year of homesteading and life h as been rough just getting a basic garden planted (1st season my husband had just had open heart surgery and wasn't able to help much. 2nd year there were several family emergencies and now my elderly mom lives with us.) I'm always overwhelmed and know hardly anything about gardening; yet it's a calling and necessity for our future. Thank you MKM--your books are very helpful.

He already found perfectly blissful happiness with someone. Why are some of you so determined that he take another wife? He said at the Homestead Festival last year that he’s not even thinking about marriage again - he’s following God’s will for his life.

Love this video! ❤️ We have a large family and so desire to start homesteading but honestly, I am overwhelmed and don't know where to start. My heart yearns for being able to feed my family from food we grow and to be a blessing to others as well. We live very close to Hardison Mills and pray that we will find a way to be able to attend the upcoming Homesteading event. Thank you for sharing your time and heart with those of us that want to learn!

I am starting out as well in homesteading. I have gardened for years but we lost our house in the country due to foreclosure. We were homeless for 2 years. Even renting a garden I have always impravised container garden etc...I would love to attend the conference with my daughter in law and Grandaughter who loves animals. I signed up to volunteer but my daughter in law cant afford the fee. This is such a wonderful event. There is so much to learn from others!

I am so sorry you lost your home. I am in the same situation and i know how hard it is. It hurts to lose your roots. It's strained my faith because I will never understand why a kind loving God would allow such sorrow. I hope that things are better for you. ❤️

I’m already signed up for the conference in CDA and I’m so excited for it. I’ve been to Joel Salatin’s farm, Polyface, and that was amazing, but having this conference only an hour away from me here in Idaho is such a wonderful opportunity. Can’t wait!

It is interesting to connect with folks and exchange information and ideas. It will be interesting for you to go to Melissa's 'stomping grounds' and see how people homestead in her neck of the woods. Awesome! Growing up on my grandparents farm, I can relate. These skills need to be passed down to our younger generation. Also, us "Old Timers" are never too old to learn. well best thing i ever learn was from a women in Usa best way to garden.Ruth Stout grow crop in hay is the most efficient and ecological thing you can ever do.Minimal of watering no chemicals involved and since i am from north of Sweden i can start earlier then ever before, the hay keeps the heat up and moister level

I pray you find a life of your own and stop worrying about something that doesn’t even remotely concern you. Rory has stated multiple times that he has no interest in remarrying right now and is fully following GOD’S WILL. Who are you to try to force YOUR will on God and Rory? You should seek some counseling to find out why you are like this.
