Hong gone and done it again! Amazing work by Matty on the video and of course huge congrats to Shawn for this ascent and to the whole team involved in the video and the project as a whole. You guys did an amazing job wrapping up the multi-year epic that was Megatron. It seems only fitting that Chad was there film the FA - I thought I might cry as the camera got shaky and you can hear Chad's genuine awe and emotion as Shawn topped out.

Climbing is goddamn magical, the excitement and awe that connects us across generations and climbing disciplines is incredibly special. The smile on Shawn's face when he falls is what brings us all back to climbing.

I love the differences in how even these top climbers do the same moves. It's interesting how Shawn doesn't full crimp on that heinous crimp down low like Drew and Daniel.

Insane... the only word I can find for that! That is the most beautiful and spectacular boulder I have ever seen! Especially knowing it´s been there for 10 years and some of the absolute best outdoor boulderers have tried and failed it. Congrats

You can see how other crushers are just screaming when they fall and then there is Shawn chill and smiling appreciating that he has done a good try. So many things do learn from these guys. When life is hard just chill and be patient, everything will be good.

Honestly the sun in the send footage gives it a kind of beauty that would have been hard to deliberately replicate .

The comments about mental aspects of climbing are so true - I've had so many experiences where my body is saying, "meh, probably not going to be the best day of climbing" but I push myself to a better mindspace and end up sending something completely unexpected. Beautifully filmed, beautifully climbed. Shawn's style is subtly different; I'm inclined to describe him as a "wrapper." His whole body seems to just glom onto things, giving his contact strength a sort of directional advantage. Pretty impressive stuff.

Oh my godddd dude we are watching a legend develop in real time before our eyes. Shawn is insane. And he has such incredible vibes the whole time too, just so chill and happy in every single one of these. Seems like someone you want to just kick it with, and then goes and crushes the hardest climbs ever. A climb this hard doesn't even make sense, like my brain literally can not process what that is. These hard lines are getting so long! Fuck. That silhouetted top out was actually perfect. Mellow, you're doing god's work
