I had a job where I dealt with a lot of performers and celebrities of various kinds, and I used to always say I NEVFER wanted to meet Melanie, because even back when, I KNEW I would fall hopelessly in love, even among the other 'Beautiful People'- that clip just proved it for me. Melanie is beyond adorable, still today! <3

I have one of her painted items. It's a stick called "Wood Stick". It's even signed by her. I also hung out with her and took some photographs. She was so kind and gracious!

For an afternoon talk show Mike Douglas booked some cool people, Billy Carter aside. I remember coming home from school and seeing Patti Smith and her band. That blew me away! Life changing.

I saw her as an opening act for a band. I didn't know who she was but when she started to sing "Candles in the rain I was done. I couldn't forget her. I was in awe of her. I fell in love. What a beautiful person inside and out. I got to meet her in the 90s as a much older person and she was funny and gracious.
