IN THIS VIDEO I WILL SHOW YOU HOW I REPAIRED ISSUE WITH RADIO ON A 2019 HONDA ODYSSEY TOURING ELITE. WHILE I WOULD BE DRIVING MY RADIO WOULD SOMETIMES RESET, GO TO BLACK SCREEN, IT WOULD KEEP ON LOADING AND NEVER LOAD AFTER RESTARTING. I WOULD ALSO HEAR CRACKING SOUNDS COMING FROM SPEAKERS.

Thank you so much for this video. Just got a 2023 Odyssey Elite and had same bad connectors (behind the BD player and the rear amp) are still causing the same problem. I ended up hot gluing the plugs in and don't have a problem anymore. I think doing soldering like another comment suggested would be more difficult given the location of the problematic connectors. But the solution is to somehow keep the plugs from losing contact due to vibrations.

@@bevieelove7999 wait for hot glue gun to get hot, squeeze a generous dollop of glue onto the connector, wait for the glue to cool, done. Google "hot glue electrical", plenty of videos are available.

Following! Just bought a 2019 model signed the papers got it home and bam crackling noise. So this would be the fix for the crackling sound? How about the screen not letting you change radio stations or pressing the power button not turning the unit off

@@galorih2046 Yes,...with service bulletins 20-047 and 20-051, all problems for our dealerships customers have indeed been resolved. These S/B's were recalls. There is also service bulletin 20-058 (Pilots/Passports) and 20-049 (Odyssey) that address crackling and popping sometimes heard in the speakers...this is not a recall, but information that repairs those conditions.

@@cycleway4 we had the service bulletin done and still have the same issues. Dealership is saying they cannot find and shutdowns so they won’t do anything

On our 2020 Pilot, the back seat (2nd row) speakers don’t work. Change the balance to the back and it’s literally zero sound. Any suggestions?

With your actual repair, is it just to remove tape/bundling of wires? Did you just straighten out the wires, add some tape around the wires to make them more rigid to stay in a straight connection? We have same exact problem in our 2018 Elite.

Take it to the dealership and have them fix it.. there is a service bulletin...but if it’s a Salvage title salvage title they won’t fix it...

2020 Pilot here, still fighting this issue. Dealer has replaced the MOST connectors twice already; it's back again as it's still doing this crap (and, arguably, getting worse).

My 2018 Odyssey Touring Bluray and DVD movies would intermittently freeze. Kids gave up using it as it was to annoying to watch. Honda had no solution to the issue at the time since it was the new model. We eventally gave up trying to get issue repaired and now its over the 60k warranty. Anyone have simular issues and what was the diagnosis ?

There’s a recall for that, we have to install new fakra housing’s and service cords on certain models.

I had mine “repaired”. The Honda shop kept the car for 3 weeks and we still have this problem. Every time we hit a bump or rough road it cuts out

@@JasonHouse82 sadly Honda will not even fix it any further with my sister's 2020 Pilot. I am amazed at how crummy Honda CR is with this issue. She only has 45,000 miles on hers. She has been at the dealer at least 10 times. I guess Conicelli Honda doesn't have experienced techs to fix this the right way.

@@JasonHouse82 i was going to buy one 2021 with this problem. Dealer said was an easy fix. But they had not fixed it by the time that happened.. we ended up getting a 2022 model 11k miles so far no issues

Honda will replace these there’s 3-5 connections called the fakra cables the ends are replaced and fixes the connectivity issues would recommend having the dealer fix this under warranty

Unfortunately a salvaged title will have all warranties voided. It will have to be customer pay. Honda does not have a fakra repair for the 90 degree connector.
