Nevermind the genre people try to place her in, this exceptional woman is the perfect example of the healing power of music. Good on yer, Melody. Your allure is intoxicating You gorgeous woman Being around you must be As if insanely drunk Who could blame Adam If tempted by such an Eve To take a bite from that apple Thou

My word! Just her voice and her music is medicine to me. Like for my stressed heart and stirred up mind. Th last three years did a number on me. Being separated from my loved ones/ covid lockdown/ the war next door (Germany)/ crazy migration/ inflation and weird uncertain times, bad politicians. But if I had a women next to me and would sink into her warm arms and listening to her music. I would all forget about everything even for one night. Best wishes, Gesundheit and some prayers from Germany.

Friends of my wife introduced us to Melody's music and it has been an amazing, fascinating journey in developing our love- while being separated for months at a time because of my work. So beautiful and expressive in a way that seems rare in this day and age. Of all her albums, My One and Only Thrill is my favorite. For Melody and those who are bring their talents to make this music, Thank You So Very Much!

Here's some news for Melody Gardot fans. Late in 2014, Verve Records released an album that is a tribute to Nina Simone. The album is named Round Nina, and Melody Gardot is on it. She performs "Four Women." I got the CD at Christmas and it is terrific. If you search KZfaq with the words "Round Nina A Tribute to Nina Simone", you should find Jazz Echo's 3-minute 33-second video which highlights the artists on the CD. You'll hear a snippet of Melody Gardot's performance there. Check it out!

Imagine a show with Melody Gardot and Adele. Too much real sensuality to deal with in one setting. These two women are the real deals. Very few can go down the same road they travel.

words cannot describe enough the sensuality, the excruciating intimate level, the exposed deep emotion, yet gentle in the songs that she wrote, the intricate control of her soulful voice over an elaborate arrangement in each song, all that make My One And Only Thrill possibly one of the best album in music world of jazz & blue, her triumph over adversity at the early age really admirable, in the most ill fated incident, it bring about a great talent to the world, i love Melody Gardot.

I was walking my bike crossing the street and was hit by a car. I landed on the hood, slid off, and fell to my knees. The car continued lunging forward and all I saw was the grill coming at me. I lowered my head, tilting it down in a head butt and gave in to what was about to happen. After the 2nd impact I was catapulted forward into the intersection. The car came forward again and ran over my body which was entangled in the bicycle. Three strikes and I was finally down for the count. I suffered a severe concussion which made my mind disassociate from the left side of my body. I wanted my whole left side amputated, thinking it didn't belong to me! I couldn't read, write, speak, or walk for about a year. I had no memory of the past and I stuttered and talked gibberish. I did not have music to use as therapy. But every day I tried typing at the computer, and every day I walked 4 miles, jumped, and practiced bicycle riding. These things eventually brought my coordination and mind back to recovery. I feel for you Melody!! ❤

She musically very special, I practice endless 251's on my Ibanex jazz box and her mixture of blues into the Jazz element is a perfect fit with her vocal tonality .. I attempt to play along but mostly fail. Just listening is far better

@MsVera1031 Yur are absolutely correct. Besides - the "act" becomes the anti-climax. All that leads up to it, is what we call "making love" - and that is exactly what Melody does, every time she sings. WOW!
