One reason why Melodyne sounds so good is its precise analysis of audio material. Melodyne detects the notes in your recordings automatically, yet the detection can be refined and, if needed, corrected in Note Assignment Mode. By checking and editing the note separations in Note Assignment Mode, you can make sure that optimal sound quality is obtained when you come to edit the notes. God Bless Melodyne. I say this on behalf of all home studio folks who have struggled with manually reducing the sibilants in vocals. What a tedious and time-consuming job it has been. Now Melodyne is truly magnificent. Of course, Melodyne does not work with some vocal tracks in Studio One 4.6.

I Wish Melodyne Worked As A Audio Suite In Protools I would Use it More Often instead of Auto tune It's way too difficult to work in Pro tools Studio one on the other hand It's Brilliant

I'm confused about starting point lines. Are they mainly about attack noise? In a legato vocal with the Melodic Algorithm, they only go on consonants? What's the point of an active vs. inactive starting point line if there's a note separation anyway? Note separations are about being able to move a blob independently. Just not sure about active starting point lines being 'attached' with a marker on the blob. Thanks.

Melodyne v5.1.1.003 20 years later. Still NOT able to make pitch rise ! Ex: 14 semis up 0 to 600 ms = mission impossible. U can babble as much as u want how great melodyne is.

Not sure what you’re after, but here’s how you do it: Split a note in two halves, move them to the starting and ending pitch that you need, and use the Pitch Transition tool for the rise. If needed, add more note separations.

@@celemony Import long note 1200ms split in two halves 1st halve -6 semi 0ms 2nd halve +8 semi 600 ms Tell me Why pitch transition from 1st note starts at 320 ms and NOT at 0 ms ! In case of legato phrase pitch transition will start even worse at 560ms instead of 0ms. Perhaps another 20 years of R&D ? or switch to Fruity Loops piece of cake there :)

Do you mean you are unable to separate a note at the places you want? You have given milliseconds to describe your issue, but I am not sure where the trouble is.
