About Me
I have had a 24-year career in mental health and wellbeing, working 16 years in a local authority in the UK .
in 2016 I was working full time for a local authority running a mental health service and delivering training, but I knew my time there was coming to an end, and i started to consider the life i wanted .
I now had two sons working and at uni .
I started tapping into my spiritual practice ,law of attraction , yoga ,meditation, and a deep passion for discovery I set about creating a plan .
I wasn't sure where to start, but i knew that while working full-time, it might be difficult.
I decided, I wanted to aim for 3 days a week. This meant a huge reduction in income ,but I also wanted to write and have a better quality of life .
So i started working on my website and blog .
I was offered a new job in NHS England as a transformation programme mgr ,4 days a week .
I continued to utilise the Law Of Attraction and focusing on my plan.
in 2018, I went down to 3 days a week after taking a role as project mgr for a mental health CYPIAPT programme across the South East .this role also involved visiting sites. I started to get out on the road more and was now visiting my son in uni every month and exploring .I also took up photography to track my travels and really enjoyed it.
first long solo trip
I went to Italy on my own for a month .travelling via train from Nice ,Genoa ,Rome ,Cinque Terre region , Sorrento, Amalfi Coast by train and staying in these locations
I faced my fear and anxiety, and yes, I had a few moments of trepidation but also a lot of fun .
in 2020, I started working for a private company and designed and set up a wellbeing programme aimed at women who had experienced domestic abuse, toxic relationships, and mental health issues .
in 2021 I started a podcast with my friend Danielle , the Mel and Danielle Show (see You Tube for all the last 2 years of videos on Tarot , Spirituality , Psychology and Wellbeing )
By late November 2022, I had system fatigue ....needed a rest ..
By this time, I had started to also do podcasts on KZfaq, Anchor ,which is now owned by Spotify and Wisdom, Videos , and travelling round different wellbeing fest
by 2023, I was teaching Yoga and Meditation online and at festivals and hosting panels online with The Wonderful World of Wellbeing on mental health , midlife, and holistic approaches . I also restarted my consulting business, working with people who had experienced toxic relationships, families ,workplace stress as well as teaching online .
it's been an amazing journey.
In 2004 I bought a van and started traveling round the south East to mind body and spirit events, doing talks, teaching and exploring the local area.
I now travel around the UK in my van ,work as a consultant in mental health and wellbeing, coach, yoga, and meditation teacher, podcaster, and create Vlogs .
The aim is to get on the road on my van more and more ,sharing my little videos of where I visit , my Reflections that explore topics in a deeper way and doing oracle cards that have inspiring short messages .
and occasional videos that are very practical as I start to learn more and more about my van ...
