In this video I demonstrate how I achieve swirls using 2 colors in a loaf mold. I go into detail about bases I use, temperatures I pour at, as well as pouring technique. So if you don't like alot of chatting, this might not be the video for you 😉
Make sure you stay all the way to the very end to see the cut soap 😀

@@isabellegraceli5341 Thank you so much Isabelle. I don't use SFIC alot, but when I do, it's usually the goat milk and the aloe base. I've found that, for me, the best swirling temp is around 125°. I'm so sorry for the delayed reply.

Your M & P soap turned out so unique with your method of swirling. So happy you took the time to explain each step for beginners and others who, like me, just cannot master the swirls. I agree there are not enough melt and pour videos out there. In the beginning I had attitude about M&P not being "real" soap making (whatta soap snob!) But I pulled the stick out and can admit I love how easy it is to do and I love it! And since I've run outta time to make Christmas cold process gifts... here we go. This is by far the best M&P swirl video I've found. Thank you for this demonstration!

That was a great video and I loved how you talked and explained everything but you weren't dragging it on and on. You explained everything beautifully and I really liked how you went into describing the different bases you've used and the results you got out of each one. I agree 100% that there aren't nearly enough MP videos out there. I'd suggest videoing anything you do. There's always going to be someone who can benefit even if it's something " simple " like layering ( which isn't always that simple lol ) Can't wait to see more videos !!! Stay safe !! I'm down in south Alabama and luckily we haven't gotten "hit" with this mess yet.

I watched Dean a lot before going in for my first swirl with 2 colors... I wrote down the temperatures and was ready to copy some of his techniques. And it drove me CRAZY that I couldn't get NEAR the temperatures he uses, before my soap starting to solidify. Now I see your video and you say that with Stephenson base, you can't go that low. So I'm glad it wasn't me or my microwave LOL. Thanks for the tutorial.
@jencrazysoaplady
@jencrazysoaplady 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, Stephenson will drive you bonkers for sure lol. It's a good base, but it just thickens up so much quicker than crafters choice and sfic. But once you find that sweet spot with the temp then you'll be swirling like crazy 🤪

You are so right about Stephenson’s. I’ve been doing M&P for about a year now and learned my lesson with Stephenson’s. Now for each soap base I use I keep a chart of melting point on the wall (I’m forgetful😊). Some soap makers will refer to this soap process isn’t soap making. I totally disagree with these. I wish I had watched you before I started. I watch several MP soapers now. Great video and very informative. You need to keep making videos.👍🏼

Thank you so much for your kind words, JoAnn. And yes, some people think that m&p is not really soapmaking at all....like it requires no creativity or talent at all. That couldn't be further from the truth! And now that I also make cold process as well, I can honestly say that cold process is easier than m&p....especially where swirling is concerned! Oh gosh, don't get me started....I could go on and on lol.

That turned out beautifully! I actually just got a white and clear set of bases and I’m brand to to M&P. I’m going to try this as soon as I get a fragrance oil ratio perfected for these bases.

Thank you for this video. I'm a newbie and I greatly appreciate all the help I can get. I don't have that mold yet but I think I'll try it anyways in the individual soap molds I have.

Thank you. If you go to my channel I have a couple of videos using individual molds as well. I’ve since changed my pouring technique slightly and I hope to be posting new videos on that soon. But I hope these current videos will be helpful to you.
