You can never get to 0% risk which is why safety third. 1. Those tongs are able to slip off a crucible weighed with molten metal and spill the contents. Definitely recommend acquiring a different pair that grabs around the crucible without sliding off. 2. The propane, furnace, and mold are arranged so you have to attentively step over the gas line and not trip over it while carrying hot material. 3. Protective gear.
